OOC: I got permission. This is a last ditch attempt to save the game. Pedro paced about his office. Papers were strewn across the marble floor, hiding the exquisite patterns and images imprinted thereupon. There was a knock on the door, and two burly guards dressed in khaki escorted a short Hispanic man wearing a smart suit and tie into the room. “Ah, Mr. Alvaréz, please sit down.” said Pedro, kicking his papers over to one side as he gestured the new arrival towards a chair. Alvaréz sat, and spoke, with a harsh, demanding tone. “Do you have the money, Pedro?” Pedro lifted a metal briefcase from underneath his desk, placed it upon the oak top and opened it. Inside were massive bundles of neatly ordered Euro notes. “Forty-four million Euros.” Pedro said. He handed Alvaréz a clump of notes. The man examined it carefully, then returned it to his case. “Genuine.” said Alvaréz. The suited man stood up, picked the case up from the table and left, leaving no trace of his being there. Pedro looked out his the large, clear window as Alvaréz cars departed, eyeing them with contempt that his master plan was succeeding. *** |
