Chev.

Name: Abel Orzhov
Age: Late 30's-Early 40's
Level: 4
Occupation: Voice of the Sons of Hectate
Character Description or Av Link:
Bio: Before there was civilization there was chaos. Primitive humans who worshiped cold and unforgiving gods often roused to blood lust. Humanity may have evolved but it still remains primitive, bloodthirsty and ravenous at its core filled with a desire for individuality and increasingly complex self worth. Even now that humanity is disenfranchised amongst the stars that has not changed.

The Sons of Hectate are a religious sect based in the lower levels of the refugee fleet, even on board the Invictus itself. Once only considered a cult, or minor religious faction, the Sons of Hectate have evolved thanks to the natural unrest created by the caste system on the ships, the desperation the people feel and a healthy dose of fear. While the Hectites (as they call themselves) do not pose an established militant threat to the status quo they have numbers and the ability to mobilize for combat aboard the ships. Naturally General Raley would want to quell their desire to mobilize however the Hectites keep a number of their members purposely secret, not all of them are composed of the lower castes and it is rumored they have conducted assassinations and disappearances aboard the ships. Even the General has to fear that if he were to strike a blow at their heart his life might be forfeit next.

Abel Orzhov is the Voice of the Hectites. A Keeper of Secrets, Orzhov has eyes everywhere and many in his debt report secrets to him. Orzhov is also rumored to have been a capable Assassin for the religious sect before Taras Prime was conquered and is considered to be the highest ranking member still alive which prompted him to his level of influence. No one sees Orzhov unless he wants them to however he maintains public appearances thanks to having a number of body doubles created from volunteers through surgical procedures carried out by physicians aligned with the religion. It's almost impossible to tell if someone is actually speaking to the real Orzhov and this is another reason the military have not struck against him.

Life on the Invictus, in the fleet, is dangerous but Orzhov plans to see it through to the end. While he has no official political power his influence with the masses as both a figure of inspiration and someone who inspires fear ensures that he is well protected on many fronts. It doesn't hurt that many of those who consider him an enemy would have much to lose if their attempts to subvert him were discovered and their secrets made public.
