Rules
These are the rules for Alpha RP v2.0 and I would be very grateful if you all read and took care to abide by them. If you don't read them you may find yourself breaking rules unintentionally and it would be a great shame if you were punished because of that. The rules are always in a state of modification so every so often you should check just to make sure you aren't missing anything. If any serious changes are made you will, of course, be informed. Do not flame - Flaming is the act of directly insulting a person through the use of swear words and the like. This is not tolerated so please refrain from doing so. If someone flames you first do not respond by flaming them back. An admin/moderator should be informed and they will deal with the situation. (This rule does not apply during role play.) Do not troll - Trolling is when you bait a person through indirect insulting or being sarcastic in a cruel way. This is just as bad as flaming as it is one of the main catalysts of arguments. Please refrain from trolling and if you believe you are being trolled inform a member of the staff. (This rule does not apply during role play.) Do not advertise - Please do not advertise any products, software or websites on the forums. This is a serious offense to ZetaBoards and we don't want our forums closed down because of it. Do not post things of a sexual nature - That means anything from pornography to nudity. This is also an offense to ZetaBoards and may be to other people as well. Do not spam - Spamming is the act of posting many pointless posts in one or several threads for the sole reason of posting. Now while your post count only goes up when you make role play posts this is a still an annoyance and is not wanted. Do not post anonymous links - Do not post links without first explaining what sites they lead to. We don't need any links leading to undesirable websites that may give people viruses. Do not God Mod - God modding is the act of making your characters powerful to a level which can be considered god like. This is a a serious offense in all role playing communities and will not be tolerated. God modding is also the act of controlling someone elses player. During a role play you can only control your own character. If you attack someone elses character you may not make the attack land or say its affect on the other character. Whether the attack hits and what its affects are on the character you attack are up to the player who owns that character. However, if they are unfair with their judgement they can, in turn, be accused of god mod. Do not meta game - Meta gaming is when your character is informed of something that would otherwise be impossible for them to know. Say, for example, your character is searching for another character and that person types that their character gets on a train for the next city, your character cannot instantly know where they are going just because you read it. Your character has to have seen this action or heard from another character to obtain this information. This is another serious offence.
