This is a random thought i had a while ago. And it's completely dorky and silly. But...

If we were able to marry the physics and chemistry of the world of Star Wars with modern-day science, I was thinking the Force Jump could be rationalised by saying that the galaxy in Star Wars had less of a gravitational pull on all planets, compared to the one we have here on earth. Hence, the ability to jump far distances.

This may be a complete waste of time to talk about...but it's a random thought i had. And this is the Random Thoughts thread ;)

No, you have a very valid idea.

In order to complete a Force Jump, an individual must have the power of the Force, which is obvious. in this case, the Force itself must equal out some of the gravity of the planet, allowing longer distances on jumps.

That's how I see it, anyways. ;)
