Clear, Sturdy and Fierce
|
I've returned to Pokemon after a very long time. So my sets are quite standard and the team is also average. It has been very successful for me so far though it is facing some problems in defeating Suicune and Rotom. The team has got the above name since it has been named after Spanish monarchs(irrelevant information).![]() JuanCarlosI (Metagross) @ Occa Berry Ability: Clear Body EVs: 252 HP/236 Atk/12 Def/8 Spd Adamant nature (+Atk, -SAtk) - Stealth Rock - Meteor Mash - Explosion - Bullet Punch Very standard Metagross lead. Honestly speaking, I don't know why I'm using Meteor Mash over Earthquake though I feel MM has STAB and it might increase your attack. Explosion is done in case of an emergency and Bullet Punch adds a lot of value being a priority move. Metagross is there in the team since a steel pokemon gives a lot of resistances. Many leads such as Roserade do not stand a chance in front of Metagross. --- ![]() Isabella (Latias) (F) @ Life Orb Ability: Levitate EVs: 6 HP/252 Spd/252 SAtk Modest nature (+SAtk, -Atk) - Calm Mind - Dragon Pulse - Surf - Recover I was very excited to see this in OU and I added it in my team without thinking about anything. I use Surf over Grass Knot to kill Heatrans. Recover is very useful especially when you are using Life Orb. Dragon Pulse is a great STAB move which makes Latias deadly. This has been one of my most successful sweepers. --- ![]() SanchoRamirez (Salamence) (M) @ Yache Berry Ability: Intimidate EVs: 6 HP/252 Atk/252 Spd Naughty nature (+Atk, -SDef) - Dragon Dance - Earthquake - Outrage - Fire Blast Do I need to explain? It is self explanatory. --- ![]() Alfonso II (Vaporeon) (M) @ Leftovers Ability: Water Absorb EVs: 188 HP/252 Def/68 Spd Bold nature (+Def, -Atk) - Wish - Protect - Surf - Hidden Power [Electric] Vaporeon provides Wish support and can fight Heatran well. Gyarados can also be fought well with Vaporeon. Protect is an excellent scouting move and it really helps me against choice pokemons. Vaporeon is present in my team basically to take physical hits since it can take most of them. THis is also an excellent Infernape counter. --- ![]() Ramiro I (Flygon) (M) @ Choice Band Ability: Levitate EVs: 6 HP/252 Atk/252 Spd Lonely nature (+Atk, -Def) - Earthquake - Outrage - U-turn - Stone Edge Does a lot of damage with Choice Band. Many people are getting misleaded by thinking that this is a scarf Pokemon and so, I an advantage. --- ![]() Ferdinand I (Heatran) (M) @ Choice Scarf Ability: Flash Fire EVs: 4 HP/252 Spd/252 SAtk Naive nature (+Spd, -SDef) - Fire Blast - Earth Power - Dragon Pulse - Explosion Heatran is a great Scizor counter and I need it to absorb Ice attacks due to the excessive Ice weakness in my team. I use Dragon Pulse over HP Ice because it serves the same purpose of killing dragons and is also neutral towards all the types except steel. I really want feedback for this team. --- |

nice pics... anyway i can see a weakness to ice straight away from latias salamence and flygon but heatran and metagross can handle that. The only problem is that most pokemon carry ice type moves without being ice type (i.e most electric types) so you have to prepared for more than just ice types. I dont have any suggestions as im not very good at suggesting. Aside from that, you have a very nice team and i wouldnt want to battle against that team as none of my pokemon have ice type moves apart from heatran knowing dragon pulse which is the only thing capable of taking down your dragons apart from my rock type moves on salamence. I wouldnt recommend dugtrio as that will add to your weakness to ice. Fantastic team for someone whos been away from pokemon a long time though. |

As a metagross lead user myself, I say Earthquake rules! haha nah, it's my personal opinion after seeing too many jirachi/infernape/heatran leads. And since I hate jirachi so much, I prefer to cream it with earthquake. And it helps with pesky magnezone too! For Salamence, it's the standard but I prefer flamethrower over Fire Blast because many a time the stupid accuracy was why poor Salamence had to bite the dust. Heatran's ok but I was just wondering overall if you could slot in Blissey to replace Heatran because there's isn't really a reliable sp atk taker here and I don't think vaporeon can multitask too well. A boltbeamer here would render vaporeon and latias useless should it be used to wall. So Blissey would be great! Considering how it can also pack aromatherapy because from the looks of it, I think your team hates status. P.S.: Ever thought of putting yawn on vaporeon?
