She’s rather awkward, her arms or legs at one point or another seeming too long for her. Tattoos/Piercings: Her ears are pierced; the right holding three studs in the lobe while the left has an industrial piercing across the cartilage as well as her conch pierced. As far as tattoos go, she has a purple tribal butterfly inked on the back of her neck though it’s usually covered because she lets her hair hang loose. On the inner of her right arm, she has a wolf as well. Other: Em never wears makeup on or off of the campus grounds, preferring her face free of eyeshadow or lip liner or blush. The most she’ll apply to her face is lip balm when the season turns cold and her lips chap. She is one to keep her nails (fingers and toes) painted on the regular basis though she simply cannot paint them all one color. Every digit has a different color slathered onto the nail. She is usually seen with a hair scrunchie around her wrist or triceps. Personality Likes: Moonlight, roses, summer, fall, laughing, open fires, dancing, late nights, reading, music, the ocean, traveling by water, coffee, chocolate, the color blue, sunsets. Dislikes: Hurricanes, sand, trainers who specialize in ground pokemon, being wrong, tea, caramel, unwanted cruelty, ignorance, being lied to, the color orange, getting lost, failing. Goals: Decide a major to study, graduate the academy, have a strong diverse team, prove to her brother that she can be a good Pokémon trainer. Fears: Failing, not doing anything with her life, returning home because she got kicked out of the academy, dying alone, having one of her Pokémon taken/stolen from her. Friends/Allies: -- Enemies/Rivals: -- History: My mother and father met just as my father was finishing his Pokémon journey, having opted not to go challenge the Elite Four. He had decided that he wanted to start a family instead of go get famous and go on to travel through any other regions. That and with a case of asthma plaguing him, he headed home to Lillycove City. It was there in which he met my mom while shopping one Monday. From there, they hit it off. After they both secured jobs, they had my older brother, Patrick. He, after hearing all about my father’s glorious adventures as a Pokémon trainer, decided that he too would set off at the age of ten and become one as well. While Patrick was on the road, my mother and father decided to move themselves to Slateport for financial purposes as well as to visit somewhere new. That’s when they had me. I was four when my brother returned home for the first time, him being a solid thirteen years old. And even in my childhood, with him telling me all about his adventures, I found myself uninterested. I didn’t care about Pokémon training all that much as a youth and when he returned home after gaining the eight gym badges required, some three years later, my attitude hadn’t changed. My parents, however, were so happy for him. They encouraged him to do what my father hadn’t, which was challenge the elite four. He decided he would. Over the next few years, I was more interested in working in the bazaar than anything my brother or young sibling was doing. They became Pokémon fanatics, my brother using our house and average amount of property to leave Pokémon as he pleased while my sister ran around with a group of her age-mates that congregated at the Pokémon Fan Club. I was more interested in making money than training Pokémon. My dream was to go into fashion or music, something creative and move out of the Sinnoh region, maybe visit places like Sacramento or New York or Chicago. My parents had other ideas. It was my mother whom had heard something about this Pokémon Academy in the Akaiyo region and passed it along to my father, figuring that maybe LEARNING about Pokémon training would spark my interest in it. It was their idea to send me to the Academy and no matter how much kicking and screaming I did, I couldn’t get out of it. My brother, whom was home at the time, completely agreed with the choice and my sister wished she could have ventured there with me. And she could have, had she not been too young to enter. As a going away present, I suppose, my brother had decided that he would supply me with Pokémon to take with me to the academy. Of course, he picked, not I. And even though I didn’t like Pokémon battling, I knew enough about it to actually win a battle or two. I wasn’t completely out of sync with the Pokémon world.
