Attention Troops! Mission Statement: With Duty, Honor, Valor, and Freedom, we the few, the proud, the ROTC Cadets shall never give up!! What We're About: Basically what the Colour Guard does is it will present the Akaiyo Region flag, the School Flags with the insignia of each rank on it, and salute the flags in the morning and play Revalry. This is done at dawn. The flags will then be taken down at the end of the school day, the process from the morning is reveresed and Taps will be played at dusk. The Colour Guard will also be encouraged if not required to participate in competitions, meaning field trips to competitions and as well as hosting competitions which will be put on in the auditorium. The Colour Guard will also be required to perform and display the colours at Graduation and Promotion Ceremonies. Who Can Join: Anyone can join the Colour Guard! But you MUST join or a;ready be the ROTC program. Where We Meet For Practice: We will meet in the Simulation Chamber or out in the courtyard. I have designed a special area of the Courtyard the will be designated as "The Parade Grounds." The Parade Grounds is where we'll meet outside for practice in good weather. When we cannot meet outside for any reason, our next practice area will be the Simulation Chamber. Should all else fail, we will meet in the Auditorium. Dressed Pratices will be announced. Dress: Your uniform will be provided for you. The uniform will consist of the button-down shirt, collar tie, jacket, beret/helmet rifle, gloves, polished black shoes, spats, belt, pants/skirts, and rank/award medals. The award/rank medals must be worn on the ROTC uniform on dress days and on days when Colour Guard has dressed practices. |
