Welcome to the Aggro Magnets Guild Forums. As the first topic of conversation, this thread's purpose is to tell you a little about Aggro Magnets and how it functions.

Aggro Magnets is first and foremost a relaxed guild. We make no requirements of our players. You are welcome to come and go as you please, role play as you like, create as many alts as you wish, participate in as many raids or PvP events as you see fit. We are also happy to have your alts invited into the guild. We generally ask that you identify any alts that you have in the guild, so we can list them as yours; to prevent any confusion for our other players; however, this is not required.

Here at Aggro Magnets, we believe strongly in offering education of the game to any who seek it. So, if you are a newer player of World of Warcraft, or have simply encountered something new in the game, please do not hesitate to ask questions. We invite inquiries of all subjects relating to the game, and we will try to answer them to the best of our abilities.

While Aggro Magnets does have some role playing guild mates, the guild as a whole does not require RP'ing from its members. Feel free to speak with our Lore Masters (see The Officer Corp Thread for a list of our Lore Masters) if you have questions about role playing, or would like assistance in setting up a role playing character. Also, our Lore Masters often post periodical articles in our Lore Category. It's a great place to learn new trivia about the races and events that have colored the Warcraft Universe.

Aggro Magnets has no rule about time zones or when you play. We invite members from all over the globe, and every time zone in the United States.

At current, Aggro Magnets does not have a profanity/language rule on its forum pages or in-game chat channels; and most members enjoy fairly sarcastic and humorous conversations. However, we do expect all members to treat everyone they encounter with respect. You may witness our officers and members throwing a joking insult at each other; and this is all meant in the name of good fun. However, if you witness, or are of the victim of, an Aggro Magnets member/officer rudely insulting someone, please bring it to the attention of a ranking officer.

Aggro Magnets has a rather unique style of promoting to new ranks, mainly because we rely heavily on delegation of duties to our officers. So members should not expect to be promoted based on how long they've been a part of our guild, but rather on how they contribute to the guild. Aggro Magnets's ranks are divided into two categories: Members and Officers. All officers are required to take on certain responsibilities. We understand that a great number of people are here to play the game, have fun, and are not interested in having responsibilities; or are unable to commit to these responsibilities because of their schedule. Aggro Magnets also welcomes this philosophy into its guild; however, those people should not expect to achieve an officer commission. The highest rank a non-officer player can achieve is Senior Member. Also, be aware, that any alt character that you have in the guild, should hold the same rank as your main; so please bring it to the attention of an officer, if one of your alts has a different rank. For more detailed information please see the Ranks & Promotions Category, listed on the main page.

Aggro Magnets also has some guidelines and rules that apply to its Guild Bank. Please see the Guild Bank Category for more information.

Aggro Magnets is always happy to have new members join our guild, however, we do have some basic prerequisites. While we don't have a hard lined age requirement, we generally prefer that our members are over 18. This is partly because of the afore mentioned potential for foul language and adult themes that may crop up in our conversations. In addition, we generally find that adults are a better fit for our guild, based on maturity level. This is not to say that exceptions will not be made. However, the greatest determining factor for joining our guild is really: personality. We are looking for other players who will fit in nicely with our current guild mates. All of our officers, and most of our members, have the ability to invite new players into our guild. We generally request that our officers and members take the time to get to know a new player, and usually spend more than 6 hours of 'grouped playtime' with them, spread out over at least two days. We find that this gives us a better opportunity to make sure a new person's personality will fit smoothly in our guild.

Aggro Magnets is also very pleased to announce, that we have allied with the Deathless Guild. We are greatly looking forward to raiding with them and getting to know each of their members.

And a special note to our new players: Currently, Aggro Magnets recognizes Friday as "Run-Through Day". Should you have a lower level character/alt, and need a hand with something, please feel free to tap an officer for assistance. This includes instances/dungeons, quest chains and killing elites. All of our officers are encouraged to provide these services to lower level characters as an ongoing event during Friday Run-Throughs. However, if an officer refuses to run you through something, please understand that most of us have work/school during the day, and still have responsibilities in the real world. So it may be possible that that officer has not had the opportunity to play much the last week or two; and they do deserve to get to play their own character. Please report any abuse of Run-Through Fridays to a ranking officer. You may also pre-request a run-through by posting a new topic in the Friday Run-Through Sign-Ups! Forum, located in The Guild Lobby Category.

Aggro Magnets will usually engage in raids on Friday night. The guild’s goal is to do all of the Old-World Raids, in addition to Burning Crusade and Lich King raids. If you have a character of an appropriate level, please feel free to speak to our Raid Leader Officer (see The Officer Corp Thread) about reserving a spot. Also, when we are beginning to tackle a new raid (well, new for the guild), we will typically mention it in the Guild & WoW Events Category, and post a sign-up sheet.

Aggro Magnets has its own dedicated Ventrilo Server. See the Ventrilo Information Category for details. Please also understand, that under no circumstances, will abuse be tolerated on the Ventrilo Server. Please report any issues to a ranking officer. If you need any help installing/configuring Ventrilo on your computer, or if you have any questions, contact the Ventrilo Officer (see The Officer Corp Thread).

Lastly, we request of all of our members and officers: Should you have an issue about anything relating to the guild, please be sure to discuss it with the Issue & Dispute Resolution Officer (see The Officer Corp Thread) or a ranking officer. After all, if you don't discuss the issue with us, then how can we find a resolution? Sadly, we've seen many guilds implode over the years, simply because certain members never bothered to tell anyone that they had an issue, or were upset about something. And please make every effort to discuss the issue while it is still small enough to fix; please don't wait, and let it become an out of control catastrophe that becomes impossible to resolve. We enjoy harmony in our guild, and will do what we can to accommodate reasonable requests.

If you are an Aggro Magnets Guild Member, please register an account with this forum, if you haven't already. Once your account is validated by the Forum Administrator, your account here will receive the same rank as you have in-game. This will allow you to create new topics, and post responses, as well as give you access to areas of our forums that are reserved for guild members only.

If you are friend of the Aggro Magnets Guild, please also feel free to register an account with us. After validation by our Forum Administrator, you will also have greater access and be able to post in our forums.

If you're a player that is interested in joining our ranks, or if you're a new member that is curious about your new guild: We hope that this thread has helped to answer your questions. If it hasn't, please see some of our other static threads on the main page, or contact a ranking officer to see about adding that topic to this article.

So, with all that said, I would like to thank you for taking the time to read through this long article, and we look forward to seeing you in-game!
