- Kevlar Body Armor Kevlar, is a material made in the twentied centry and one of the first portable bullet resistant materials. Kelvar is, in it's basic form, a fabric and can be used to make variety of bullet-resistant (albeit uncomfortable) clothes and armors. The most common form for this is in a standard black vest which straps across the chest to protect the vital organs from gunfire. The fibers are a noticably heavier then anything that normally makes up clothes but nothing that would impede people's ability to move. While kevler will stop shrapnel and projectiles from penetrating the user's body they still can cause bruises and eventually Kevlar vests will rip and break. | Armor Health: 5/5 | Only protects the parts of the body which it covers | Edited by SWORDS, Nov 29 2008, 10:09 AM.
