Blindsight's a sci fi, first contact kind of book. It was a finalist for the hugo award in 2007. Incredibly entertaining, and also very thought-provoking. I read LOTR when I was young, but I think I might go back to it. |

I really want to contribute to this conversation. I really do. Especially using this nifty parallel form that everyone else is using. (I just wanna be cool, man! ;_;) But I'm pretty sure the last time I read a book was about 2 years ago. I literally (u c wut I did thar) have no idea about the current movers and shakers in the literary world. :[ SOMEONE EDUCATE ME. |

A friend of mine recommended American Gods to me. I read the first few pages and was intrigued. Once I get money or borrow a copy from someone I'll definitely read it. Also, the movie of 'Let the right one in' is better than the book. At least, that's what I hear. I've only seen the movie, and that was pretty cool anyway. And I think I should find a copy of dune. I've seen the movie but never read the book. Should get on it. |

I've seen the movie and read the book of "Let the right one in." From my personal experience, they are both good. I tend to like the book a little better because it is more descriptive and goes into things with a little more detail, also fleshes out the relationship between certain characters a lot better. The movie was good for what it is. Naturally, a movie can't hold everything that a long book does but it does a good job with its time. |

Last Book Finished - Sinner - Sara Douglass Currently Reading - Pilgrim - Sara Douglass Plan On Reading - Crusader - Sara Douglass It's a series, obviously, and i'm not a fan of reading other random books in between. IDK how popular she is over your way but Sara is an Australian author who writes in the bane of Raymond E. Feist and David Eddings, though retianing her own particular style. |
