Mm, I get what you mean, but I think third person makes RP posts easier to follow. It means that the character name is mentioned multiple times in the post - "Bob did such-and-such" rather than "I did such-and-such" - that sort of thing. For longer posts especially when you might have scrolled past the IC: declaration, it might make things clearer... or something. I think I write more naturally in first person, actually, but nowadays I've gotten used to third I guess. I don't find it any more .. exciting, or engaging, or even more personal (from a character POV) to write in first opposed to third, though ... I've sometimes drafted posts in first person and then converted them to third before posting, with minimal editing. Edited by Xany, Apr 16 2008, 12:40 PM.
