I wrote this poem for a fanfic ages ago. The character comitted suicide after writing this. After my brother read it, he asked if I was suicidal. Don't worry. I'm not. Why would I be, I have fanfic and AoD! Enjoy! Destiny Do you hear the wind howl through the trees? It howls in pain Do you see the way people run about? Can’t they just stop and appreciate? Appreciate that life is short, Appreciate the beauty in birth, The irony in death, The pattern in life. Can’t they appreciate the single act of kindness, Given from someone strange in a strange way? Do these people deserve to be saved? Do they know that they kill those who save? Twixt your hand and mine lies destiny, It glints in the moonlight, Just as shards from a broken heart. Destiny is cold, it does not pick or choose, The choice lies with us. To live destiny, to die destiny, Or to defy it to the last My choice is made… |
