Raised by Ho'Din on Moltok, parents unknown. He traveled around the galaxy from there, mostly with a group of thieves called the Invisible Foxes. (Even though he always despised the name.) He picked up the name "Thees" while he was with the Invisible Foxes, when one of the robbers remarked on his likeness to a living theasaurus.

Beginnings.
In 1996 two bands, Seraph and Urgent Cry, contributed an album of singles. Soon after, both bands disbanded(p.i.) Two of the musicians however, John Cooper from Seraph and Ken Steorts from Urgent Cry, were encouraged by their pastor to start a band of their own. They decided to call the band 'Skillet.' Soon after, Trey McClurkin joined.
Grow and Prosper.
The trio released their first album, called Skillet, in late 1996. It was published by ForeFront Records. Their second album, called Hey You, I Love Your Soul, was released in April of 1998.
Invincible?
Seorts left in 2000 and Kevin Haaland joined as their new guitarist. Just before the recording of their third album, Invincible. Trey McClurkin left after the release of Invincible, and was replaced by Lori Peters. Ardent Worship was their fourth album. Before their fifth Haaland was replaced by Ben Kasica. Their fifth record was Alien Youth and brought the bands popularity up considerably.
2006-present.
On October 3, 2006, Skillet released the album comatose. In January of 2008, Lori Peters retired from his drumming position and was replaced by Jen Ledger, whom he trained and who is still with the band.
Roster.
In total, the current members are: John Cooper(lead vocals, bass), Korey Cooper (guitar, keyboard, backing vocals), Ben Kasica (guitar), and Jen Ledger (drums).
Others who used to be in the group are: Ken Seorts (guitar) who (as mentioned above) founded the band with John Cooper, he left in '99 to be with his family; Trey McClurkin (drums) who joined soon after the band was formed and left in 2000; Kevin Haaland (guitar) joined in '99 and played with Skillet for two years; Lori Peters played drums from 2000 to 2007 wanting to try something new. Faith Stern, Chris Marvin, and Drea Winchell assisted during live shows from the years 2002 to 2006.
Tours
Skillet joined with Ron Luce and Teen Mania Ministries on their tour across the U.S. and Canada called "Acquire the Fire." in 2007. When they returned the joined Flyleaf on a tour that was cancelled due to trouble for Flyleaf. Skillet is journeying to Mexico in Summer, probably there right now. Their Comatose tour started on March 28th and ended on may 11th.
