The world is not perfect. There is an ancient evil growing, evil that seeks to destroy all standing in their path. According to legend they were the original inhabitants of this land, but their race was destroyed long ago. When they vanished, your race flourished on these lands.

With the evil gone, a period of peace followed. The great races lived in peace and harmony with each other. Then came the discovery of Dawn’s Light and the advent of war. For a thousand years your people fought for control of this sacred city and launched a war that consumed the whole continent. Territories were won and lost, bonds were made and broken. Thousands were killed and cities were wiped off the map. The very earth shook with the force of your battles. Then, as the fires of war raged to their fiercest, an ancient threat re-emerged. The creatures long thought to be destroyed returned with full force, more corrupt and more powerful that before.

These monstrosities became known as Wraiths, for they are neither living nor dead. With the great races desperately engaged in civil war, the Wraiths quickly overran everything that came into their path and conquered all that they touched with little resistance. Their power has destroyed your lands; their corruption has corrupted your temples. It will not be long before all is lost.

I am Cedor, creator of this world. Some would call me a god, but I am merely the caretaker. It was I who created the great races to live the land, constructed the holy city of Dawn’s Light, and granted you the ability to use magic. But the Wraiths were my greatest mistake. I have banished their race once before, but I cannot do so again. As the sun sets in the fire blown sky, so concludes the age of the gods. I leave custody of this world, to the new generation of heroes. Courage, sacrifice, and unity will be required. Friendships must form.

The Perfect World is at an end. But the quest to reclaim it, has only just begun.

The Story so far:

When the god Cedor left, he placed the burden of keeping the world in order to group of powerful human wizards. This group formed the Church of Solace, whose main goal is to keep the world in order and combat the Wraith. For a hundred years, they have succeeded in that goal and kept the Wraiths from spreading. But like all others, they became corrupted with greed and the lust for power. Then, a group of priests slipped away from the Church and founded a new faction.

They called it the Temple of Holy Redemption. The Temple received the support of many peasants and with its large military arm, it began The Great Crusades to destroy the Wraiths and attack non-believers. The Church was enraged and attacked the Temple, calling them “heretics” and “nonbelievers.”

With the two great powers battling for control, the Wraiths returned once more, overrunning large portions of the continents, and even threatened to destroy Dawn’s Light. But instead of working together, the Church and the Temple tried even harder to remove each other from the game. The stage is set, and the game has begun. Which side will you choose?

In this world, only the strongest can survive.
