Zarroc walked down the street of Valenor, taking in many wonders the city have to offer. Creatures of all sorts, humans, Nekkos, Kitsunes, Etherils, and even a few Tauren were among the people roaming through the streets. Tall buildings cast shadows over the streets and majestic fountains with statues can be seen in almost every single street intersection. Zarroc had been to Valenor a few times when he was still an officer in the Church army. But he had his assignments and had no time to look around. Now that he was working freelance, Zarroc suddenly felt he had a lot of time on his hands, and what better use is to spend that time than to sight-see around Valenor? And so, here he is, wandering through the streets. One thing he noticed that was different about the city than his previous experiences here was the definite increase in guards. Battalions of troops march down the streets every now and then and the walls were teeming with soldiers. Security within the city was much tighter and the soldiers are very thorough looking through the bags. If they see one thing they don't like, you can be questioned for hours. Well I guess its because of all these raids,Zarroc thought to himself as he continued down the street. It was then that he realized he had been walking around the same area in circles. He checked a sundial near one of the fountains and found out it was nearly midday. I should grab something to eat,he thought to himself. Smiling to himself, Zarroc continued to stroll down the street. |

Tobi stepped out of the library and onto the crowded streets of Valenor. He had spent most of his morning reading in the alchemy section of the library, studying new potions and looking up rare plants. He had already read most of books here, but managed to find a mana-replenishment potion he had never seen before. After careful studying and copying, Tobi managed to memorize the ingredients. He was exhausted and left the library to find a place to eat and stay. As soon as he stepped onto the street, he heard someone yell, "ITS HIM! ITS THE THIEF!" What thief?he thought to himself. But he quickly realized that guards were charging towards him. Gotta go!he thought to himself. With that, he took off, avoiding people in the streets and trying to stay ahead of the guards. |

Viclo was walking around, looking for a mark when he heard a yell. "IT'S HIM! IT'S THE THIEF!" This put him on alert, but he didn't immediately react, because he hadn't actually stolen something here, so there was no way they could know he was a thief. As he watch he realized that it was red kitsune they were chasing. If the kitsune was a thief, Viclo felt he should help him out. Viclo looked towards the merchant in his stall and said one word. "Sorry." Then he pulled the stall down and in front of the guards causing them ti crash and fall down. Viclo knew a place they could hide out, but he had to get in front of the Kitsune. Viclo immediately scaled the wall and took to the roofs. It was much easier on the roofs, because their was nobody to get in the way. He ran to a building ahead of the Kitsune and jumped through a hole in the roof. The building was one that Viclo had been allowed to use as a safe house from the local thieves gang. It was sparsely decorated with a couple of beds and cots, but not much else. Viclo ran to the door, and opened it. He saw the Kitsune coming, and as he passed Viclo called out. "Hey, in here." If the Kitsune were to accept his help and walk in, he would then ask "So, what you steal?" |

Tobi was running down the street, trying to stay ahead of the soldiers. Blasted humans. Blaming things on innocent people, he thought as he continue to evade them. Tobi pulled out a small pack of explosives and threw it behind him. The explosion stunned the guards and nearby people for a moment, giving Tobi just enough time to get ahead. Before any more guards could arrive, Tobi made a sharp turn into an alley and stayed there, panting. "Damn," he muttered to himself. He leaned against the brick wall, trying to catch his breathe. However another patrol was approaching and Tobi began running. The patrol saw him and began chasing him. Suddenly a door opened in front of him and a voice told him to enter. Without thinking of the consequences, Tobi entered the building. The door closed and the guards passed it. "Thanks," he said, panting heavily, "I owe you one." |

As the Kitsune walked in he said "Thanks, I owe you one." Viclo was going to ask what he stole but then stopped. Something about the man said he wasn't a thief. That meant the guards just needed an excuse to arrest him, which meant that the Kitsune might be more dangerous. And since he had also brought a non-thief into a thieves hideout, this was potentially bad. Viclo turned to look at the man. "You're not a thief are you? Why would the guards call you a thief, unless it was to not scare the other people around them?" Viclo was more talking to himself than to the man. He was trying to figure out what to do with the man, he had to protect the thieves guild. "Listen, whoever you are, you have to leave. Leave and forget this place. This place is not for you. Forget me, too. You aren't a thief, and you shouldn't be here. Leave now, and I will forget you too." |

"Well it depends on your definition of what a thief is," Tobi said, wiping the dust off his cloak. "But if you must insist...." With that, Tobi pulled out a small packet and threw it on the ground. Instantly white gas filled the room. The gas is actually a sleeping powder, causing whoever smells it to instant fall asleep. Tobi ran out the door before the gas could reach his nose and when he did he yelled, "Help! The man inside tried to kill me!" That attracted the attention of a couple of guards, who immediately dashed towards the room that had white gas coming out of it. Smiling, Tobi slipped into the crowd and disappeared. He began wandering the streets, in case someone was following him. Satisfied that no one was behind him, Tobi walked into a small tavern and paid the owner a few gold. "I need a room, the best room you have. You got any?" "This way sir," the owner said upon seeing the gold. He led Tobi up the stairs into a huge suite, complete with its own closet and bath. Tobi told the owner not to disturb him and when he left. Tobi sat on the bed and sighed. I should take a bath, get some of this powder off me, he thought to himself. He got up and entered the bathroom. |

Zarroc was just about to buy food from a stand when he heard someone shout about being attacked. He immediately ran off to help. When he got there, guards were already there, along with a huge crowd. Thankfully, the captain of the guards was one of the Zarroc's friend (he had met her when he was still in the Army). "Hello Valerie," Zarroc said, "long time no see." Valerie was surprised to see him. "Zarroc!" she exclaimed, "yeah its been three years! What brings you here?" "Nothing, just sight-seeing. Now that I'm not in the military, I found quite a lot of time on my hands," Zarroc replied, "so what happened here?" Valerie sighed and said, "It looks like someone dropped a smoke bomb in here, causing this man to fell asleep. I don't know who this man is, but he looks suspicious to me." "Let me take a look," Zarroc muttered. Zarroc bent down to the man and examined his face. Yes its definitely a normal sleeping powder. A few good punches should wake him up. With his great fist, Zarroc set it down on the man's stomach. He hoped that was enough, as he doesn't want to break any bones. |

Blairia had seen everything. She, being the curious, nosy one that she was, had followed Tobi until she saw him go into the house. She knew that house was a santuary for theives, of course it was. She had watched them go in there many times. You see, Blair had had a hard life, so she decided to settle down here, just for a while. A few monthes maybe, she had told herself, but it had already been two. She wasnt sure how much longer she would stay... Until the Temple had another assignment for her, she supposed. This was the longest she had gone without one, so she suspected to get word of it any time now... But until she did, she would just stay here. She had been renting a room in a tavern not far away, and the owner was apparently getting tired of her. "Look, this is a tavern, not a place to just rent a room and stay for a year." Her reply had always been, "Look I'm just a customer. You make me leave, you'll have less buisiness, and I have ways to make it stay that way." And turned around with a smirk. But now here she was, following this suspicious looking person. She wasnt sure what his alliance was, though, so she would have to be careful. With her class, especially. "Uh-oh." She whispered as she hid behind a corner. He kept on looking back... must have been looking to see if anyone was following him. She decided to stay there for a while, or atleast a few moments. She would catch up later... Hopefully. "Where did he go now?" she mumbled to herself as she lost the trail. Then she saw him, walking into a tavern as if nothing at all out of the ordinary had just happened. Then she realized it. It was the same tavern which she stayed in. Blair ran in after him, just to see the owner leading him to a room. She waited at a table, minding her own buisiness, until the owner came back down. As soon as he began walking back to his former position, she walked up to him. "So... I have a favor to ask of you. How much did that man pay you to get a room?" "Why should I tell you?" The owner replied, acting as if he wasnt going to tell her. "Because... I will pay you more if you do something for me. But you know how I told you this place would have bad buisiness if you kicked me out? Well if you betray me, then I will leave on my own and you will still have bad buisiness. Got it?" she whispered loud enough for only him to hear. He decided the offer was too good to pass up, so he told her how much the price was. Blair gave him the gold, and told him what she wanted. "Look... I need you to keep an eye on that guy. Send someone up to the room, to listen through the door or something. Tell him that a free tankard of ale comes with the room, or something. Just find out who is it, or, if its all you can do, just find out who his alliance is. He looks like hes up to no good..." But who knows, it may be just me and my suspicious mind. Blair thought as she sighed, and the owner nodded. He would send a messanger up right away to tell him about the tankard. Blair sat down at a table again, and called a waiter over to order a sandwich and some water. She really wasnt much of a drinker, it dulled the senses. After her food and drink came, she leaned back and relaxed, hoping that her plan would work. |

Tobi stepped out of the bath and dried up his fur. He then put on some fresh robes and walked back into the bedroom. He felt much better now, and less sleepy after he took the antidote to the powder. He was just about to sit down and relax when he heard someone knock on the door. "Sir? I have an order from the owner to give you some free ale!" a voice said. Free ale? Tobi thought to himself? He got up but then decided its better if he didn't open the door himself, just in case it was a trap. Tobi walked over to the door and unlocked it, then yelled, "Come in and set it down on that table." A man entered a set a huge tankard of ale on the table then bowed and left. Tobi locked the door and picked up the ale, dumping it in the bathtub. I hate ale. Especially human ale, he thought to himself. He then made his way into the bedroom and looked out the window. There was a lot of people down there, and several guards. Not a lot, and certainly not enough to catch him should he escape. Only the problem is, how should he escape? I should probably wait until its dark and sneak out the window. Ah well, lets get some rest first, Tobi thought to himself. Smiling, he laid down on the bed and drifted into sleep. |

Blair sighed as she looked at the clock. The tavern was almost empty now. "Well, that obviously didnt work. Ah well, it wasnt that much gold, anyway. Soo... what to do now..." she thought outloud. Once Blair had made a decision, or her curiosity had gotten hold of her, she would not stop until she had an answer. She had to know: Who was that kitsune? Was he a theif or not, and why did he do that to the man who had tried to help him? She just had to know. But how would she ever find it out? Well that was the good part. Being an assasin, she was trained in those areas. Track and kill. Or in this case, track and question. Blair thought it over, and decided she may as well head upstairs to her room. It would take her a while to fall asleep with this on her mind, so she may as well start now. She walked up the stairs and opened the door to her room, and got ready for bed. She lay there, looking at the ceiling, wondering what she should do. She really didnt know. But she decided that she would just figure it out in the morning; she was exhausted. |
