The Frozen Range is a large group of mountains in the middle of the continent. The main inhabitants this area are Taurens, who mines away in the mountains. Gold, silver, and diamond mines are quite common here, as are mines for iron. In recent times, stone became a popular business for the Taurens and huge quarries have been built to produce the stones needed by the Church. The Frozen Range is a hostile region, with freezing winds and steep peaks. It is very dangerous to climb and many people lost their lives here. Few roads and villages exist above ground.

Stonehammer is an area where the mountains meets Dawnbreak Forest. The forest area here is a tropic jungle and is the home to the Nactl tribes. The jungle here is humid, and is filled with many dangerous creatures and insects.

The Great Barren Desert is located in the northern section of the continent and is the cruelest place on Askiral. During daytime temperatures rises above normal and at night, it can plunge to below freezing. Sandstorms are also quite common here. The main inhabitants of this region are the Vargs, the dog people. Other races are not welcome here, but their main settlement Anhkatti is open to traders. The main profit is from the salt mines located deep into the desert. Travelers tend to avoid this area.
