Last Sunday I watched the trailer for a video game titled Warhammer 40,000: Spess Mahren Space Marine.
It, of course, features the Ultrasmurfs Ultramarines. (Why don't GW realise that Spess Wolves are simply more awesum?) The game's title seems veeery similar to a game released several years ago, Warhammer 40,000: Fire Warrior, starring Shas'La Kais as he takes on the worst ever trial by fire. It involves Imp Guard, (spotlighters) Space Marines, (spawn of Norris) Chaos Space Marines, (drugs were involved) and a Greater Demon of Nurgle. No Slaanesh! No Khorne! (Greater Demon of Tzeentch.) Technically the Lord of Change was half governor of the planet. Planet has since suffered pretty colours and disappeared in said colours. (Michael Bay!) Watch the trailer on Youtube and post your opinions.
Anything demeaning written about Marines or other races is entirely non-offensive.

....

fire warrior was a game, invloving tau battling Imp Guard, Space Marines and Chaos.

Ultramarines the Movie, is (dun, dun,DUUUNNN) a movie involving space marines battling either 'Nids or Orks, and probably Chaos thrown in for giggles.

So no, the 40k movie is not a sequel to the 40k FPS

This isn't about the movie. This is SPARTAAAA about the game titled Warhammer 40,000 Space Marine.

like squad command?

also have you noticed how all Warhammer and Warhammer 40 000 stuff is labled in that way;
Warhammer Armies: The Empire/Lizardmen etc
Warhammer: Age of Reckoning
Warhammer 40 000: Dawn of War
and so on and so forth

heck the Legend of Zelda games all start their names the same and hardly any of them are sequels

No it's FPS like Fire Warrior, Halo, COD, Metroid Prime, Wolfenstein, etc etc

You have a very good point there.

Except...

Adventure of Link is a sequel to the original.
Wand of Gamelon and Faces of Evil are directly LINKED. (bad pun)
Majoras Mask is a sequel to Ocarina of Time.
Phantom Hourglass and Spirit Tracks are Wind Breaker sequels.
Minish Cap is a sequel to Four Swords adventures
Oracle of Seasons and Oracle of Ages are sequels to eachother (depending on which you play first) and the Adventure of Link.

But I'm getting off-topic in my nerdishness. I'm only speculating on the details. It may be a tie-in to the movie. Or a cash-in to said movie.

Anyone noticed that all LoZ are called The Legend of ZELDA, even though Link does all the the legwork?

The Links (sorry) Teridax mentioned above aren't really sequels, no, but they are in canon in most cases.

To keep on topic, the website described it as an 'Action RPG' - apparently its mostly action with costomisable wargear.
Can't really tell much from the trailer, but the game is third person and involves killing Orks tring to nab a Titan according to Wikipedia. (And yes, it is referenced, for any Wikibashers...)
