O'Shovah or O'Shaserra?; Commander Farsight or Commander Shadowsun. Whose side are you on?

Yea, but the fact that they're all more or less run off a collective decision-making brain usually (though the greater creatures have more or less independent capacity?) kinds removes the "conventional" part of "conventionally" sentient. AFAIK Tyranids aren't capable of conversing or negotiating with other races are they, either?

O'Shassera; the Farsight thing will only end in tears, frankly. The T'au have the only society in 40K that vaguely appeals to me in the slightest (if I had to live in 40K I'd go become a Guevesa (cba to remember where the damn apostrophes go) like a shot) and Farsight's ideas seem horribly militarist.
He's from the fire caste, they are naturally aggressive. So is Shadowsun, but Farsight just prefers the fight to be up close and personal.

Stuff it.

I'm supporting R'myr now.

Wanna know who he is? Go to the 40K wiki and type in his name.

They sound like Irish beer louts, tbh.

"Hi there, I be Paddy O'Shovah. Fancy a pint?"
They should sing the Irish Drinking song!

Drink! Drink! Drink! Drink! Drink! Drink! FIGHT!

Fine, fair enough. But it seems to be a bit more of an agreeable system in that the Imperium of Man just seem to want to shoot anything that moves and label it as 'a heretic' afterwards, and the Tau seem to be pretty obsessed with the whole 'Greater Good' crap when they'd do far better just blobbing about.
We do obsess over the Greater Good, but it is far more than mindless blobbing. It's more like:

XV-15 Shas'vre: Want to follow the greater good?

Space Marine: No.

XV-15 Shas'vre: *Raises Burst Cannon* May I ask again?

Space Marine: That won't hurt.

XV-88 mk2 Shas'el: *Raises railgun*

Space Marine: Ah.

We're like door to door religion salesmen, but with guns. Big guns. REALLY big guns
Of course if this was real, the Marine would have killed a bunch of Tau before being nuked by Broadsides.
