:hi:

I hope this is ok to post in here.

Today i went to check a dog for Stafford Rescue but unfortunatly the dog was not a Stafford and i know the rescue would not help rehome him as they are breed specific.

However the dog melted my heart and i wondered if anyone on here would be able to help him find a home.

Name : Sam
Age : 18 months
Gender : Male (entire)
Colour : Red & White Pied
Height : approx 20 inches maybe more
micro chipped, vacs up to date

Its an unfortunate decision but Sam is proving too much for the lady of the house to handle. He is quite dominant with her and she lacks the confidence to stop his behaviour. As a result she is finding it hard to look after him and the two children in the home.

He is your normal bouncy dog that has a fantastic temperament. I walked up to him and he is just full of love. The family have two young kids and Sam gets on very well with them. To be honest he just needs a more confident handler.

His owner is heart broken about having to give up his dog but his girlfriend has given him no choice and Sam has to be re homed as quickly as possible.

As Sam is so good i would hate to see him fall in to the wrong hands. The lady of the house want's him gone ASAP and i feel he will not have long before his male ownere is forced to put him in kennels in a normal dog home which i fear he may not welcomed with open arm's :'(

Here are a few photo's that the guy has given me

If anyone whould like to contact his owners please pm me and i can give you the guys number to contact him.

edited to say he is in Kettering (Northamptonshire)

I may be able to foster him,but i am in sussex near Gatwick airport. As he is intact ,would they not consider getting him done & giving him a second chance ? Terry.

I did ask them that but its a no go i am afraid, she really wants him gone ASAP as she is struggling when her OH is out at work all day and has to look after him.

Oh i know, i do keep contemplating, but its a scary thought, knowing what a fiery little moo she is. Id be worried it wouldnt work out.
I was lucky with Duke cos he was sooo laid back and let her rule the roost, im thinking next time i may not be so lucky.

I have to say i looked on epupz last weekend and there was this lovely brindle boy not far from you Hannah (suffolk i think) who needed homing and was free to a good home. My heart very nearly ruled my head.

Terry i have to say this boy reminds me of the one Kellys nephew (i think) rehomed. The same boy that had the dog Kate and Gwain rescued. (Scrappy)

Hey Julie im in south East London.
Hello

Terry has already very kindly offered to foster this lad but if you are really thinking about this but are unsure why don't you have him as a foster first. That way you could see if he would slot in to your family. If it doesn't work then maybe Terry would still be willing to foster him. and no harm would be done, at least you would know you tried.

I am more than happy to collect him and drive him to South Mimms if this would help

This is only a thought so please don't think i am pushing you in to something your not ready for. :X

Had a little think today and to be honest i dont think were ready for the challenge just yet.

I would hate to have him here to foster and then have to give him up a week or a month later. It just wouldnt be fair on him.

I hope he will find a lovely home very soon though

He is gorgeous, we have a similar looking dog at the moment at work and he is a total babe!

'Type' dogs do pop up in rescue and aslong as their temperment is sound, then they can find homes with the right people...

I would take them all if I could! lol

The whole 'type' thing is so annoying, I see way more typey looking dogs than him on an almost daily basis. I hope it all works out well for him, he looks lovely.

He truely is lovely with his photo's doing him no justice as he looks even better in the flesh with a great personality to boot

I have everything crossed he finds loving home soon but i am more than happy knowing that Terry and his family are kindly offering him just that until a forever home can be found :yay:
