Hi guy's and girls, i love posting all over this forum, except this section :'( This is an E-Mail i recieved and wondered if anyone out there new of a home for this fella, thanks for looking :X PM me if you know of anyone I was given your email address from a lady called claire. She said you may be able to help or know someone who can. We are argently looking to re home are staffordshire bullterrier which i will add is breaking our heart as he has been a great companion to my husband and myself for many years,We have just not long had a baby he is 8 weeks old,And finding it very difficult with the dog, as the dog doesn't seem to be settling. We introduced the dog to the baby and tried to include the dog,But when baby cries or your talking to the baby the dog becomes very anxious and continuosly barks and cries when you ask the dog to leave the room he growls,So he is put in a the kitchen behind a baby gate which he carries on barking and jumping at.This happens at all hours'It doesn't help that we live in a two bed massionette so he now has very limited roaming like he use to have. We just feel not just for the baby but also the dog as he is being told off or shut away and dont want him to start resenting the baby.Blue has never in the past shown any aggresion but you just never know and dont want to take the risk.I have contacted kennl club all the numbers they have given we have had no joy but we want to be sure he will go to a good home. Profile breed; Staffordshire bullterrier colour; Blue Age ; 9yrs 9mths KC registered Vacinated every year Microchipped Has not been neuted Weight; 22kg Very well house trained doesn't soil or urinate in house,Does not chew blue doesn't have the breathing difficulties that some staffs have Blue is a very healthy dog my husband runs with him every other night He is full of energy.Blue has not really been socialised with other dogs or cats.He is genuinly a good tempered dog,But has had his nose put out as he is not the main baby anymore!!!! Iwill attach some pictures or foward them on this evening If you can help in anyway would i appreciate kind regards kelly Posted Image -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |

Beats me how people would let thier baby go after 9 years too ? But these people ask for help so surely that's what we can only but try and do isn't it ? |

Aww hes such a sweetie......I cant believe someone would could have the heart to give him away after so many years. Could someone not help them, work with Blue and help him settle and get used to the baby? Only thing that would concern me is that after being in that home for 9 years, Blue may find it difficult to settle elsewhere.....really not fair.....the last few years of his life should be where hes always been used to? |

:sharpe: Ooooh Kate. It is such a shame these people feel they can not cope, I dont like how they are advertising the fact he isnt castrated, they obv think that may help shift him, I shall have a ask around. |

I really feel sorry for Blue but it seems strange that a dog aged 9+ hasn't been socialised at all. Also as mentioned above the fact that he's intact been advertised is a bit worrying. If getting him used to the child is a definate no no then you wouldn't really want an intact dog with possible issues being passed on for obvious reasons. I would say the 1st thing to do would be to have him neutered. I wonder have they tried any professional help. |
