Long Jump = Dogs will jump over the poles, the poles will start at 2 feet, if a dog knocks a pole off so it falls that is a fail, if a dog knocks a pole and it does not fall to the ground thats a pass to the next distance, 2 poles will be added each rotation, each dog is allowed 1 fail, after the first fail they will join the end of the line to try the same length again, if completed they carry on to the next level, a fail at any point after the first will result in them finishing that trial, the dog scaling the highest will win, all non placing dogs that enter the trial will gain 1 point.

Is there a show running that weekend at the hop farm as well? Will ACES just be running this event or doing your normal show events?

Karen, Dash n Splash is doing a training day on the friday so you can bring Tink and get her swimming, she doesn't have to jump in, just go in and get her fave toy.

I'm in 2 minds, kody would love it and i'm happy she'll do fine at most the events. Weightpull will be an issue and the a frame with no lure??!!

It comes down to having the time to train her really. Any chance i could try her on sunday with a bit of weightpull? If she doesn't mind it then i'll enter her.

Same here wasnt going to bother with Tink cos i know she will hate the water and wont do the speed pull or the weight pull but will be fine with the running and the A frame and i think the scale.

Im pretty sure none of the dogs are gonna be great at everything, plenty of dogs will hate some of the evens, some dogs wont have to do events at all if owners do not wish them too, succeeding isnt really the main gole for this event, having some fail is gonna be a good thing not bad, this is a competition yes but mainly a public show case, sometimes dogs arnt good at things, sometimes they fail, thats fine, no dog is made to do anything! Its great for the public to see that!

Anything we have down the field your welcome to use Hannah.

The Aframe being different is for very good reasons, sometimes dogs catch hands or lures, not what we really want in a public event, it just made sense to change it a little so we could still include it.
