GENERAL • Follow the basic ToS of the Proboards. We realize that maybe one person on the entire forum has read them through all the way, but they're mostly common sense. Everyone here should know what is okay and what is not. ☣ Don't go crazy with cursing. Respect each other on this board. Obviously characters like Lovino and Gilbert have foul mouths, but that doesn't mean to go crazy with it. Even if it's in another language. • When in doubt, PM the head admin [Prussia]. However, not every small problem needs an admin's approval or help. Please use your best judgment. • Put forum games and spam in the SPAM thread. General chat is for more serious threads, for lack of better term. • Put forum games and spam in the SPAM thread. The chat board is for more "serious" threads. • Now that you've made it this far, you get the first secret word: "Draw." The C-Box is for OOC talking between members. We won't shoot anyone for RPing in there, but if threads start getting neglected and all the RPing is being done in the chat, we'll ban it. • Keep your avatar images PG! Hugs and kisses are all right; no nudity or highly implied sexual content of ANY kind is allowed. A first violation will result in a warning from administrators and a second violation will result in banning. ☣ Don't ask to be a mod. That's just annoying. If a thread is set up asking for help, then feel free to apply, but don't PM an admin saying, "I've been here for <time period> and I want to be a mod." It'll will be ignored. ☣ A first violation will result in a warning from administrators and a second violation will result in banning. ROLEPLAYING ☣ No God-modding. The staff reserve the right to delete or ask for editing on any posts where it appears this is happening. • No killing another person's character unless you have their permission. ★ Grammar is your friend. Please, put some effort into your grammar and spelling. Staff aren't going to be nag over every little comma and typo, but if the same mistakes are seen again and again, someone will probably say something. Exclamation points are used in dialogue only, not normal sentences. Ellipsis are not to be overused; no one wants to see a post full of "...". They are meant to add drama and can be very annoying when posted all over the plate. • Please do your best to remain in-character. Don't take someone you have no confidence in being able to write. We want to have fun here, and it becomes awkward if someone who takes Germany plays him like Italy. • Teams do not always have to travel together. Sometimes they can split up, but having centralized groups tends to streamline character development. Keep in mind: time in the manor is unbalanced. If half your team leaves the room and the other half leaves more than a few minutes later, they may end up losing track of the others. • If you do not post with your canon character once a week, your profile will be moved to 'frozen'. Admins cannot keep watch over every single member of the forum and ensure this is happening. Warnings will not be given, your character will simply be moved to "Frozen" after a week of non-character activity. You are welcome to come back and claim them within a week after your freezing, but after two full weeks [the week of non-activity and frozen week], you lose the character fully unless you post a reason of leave in the hiatus forum. • This is a PG-13 forum by default. Threads with R-rated content are to be marked "NSFW". • If you're RPing a pairing, stay with that pairing. If England and America are RPing USUK, then don't pester them for romantic stuff. Honestly, nothing kills a board faster than pairing wars. Almost there, now you get your next word: a ☣ NO three-ways, please. Just... it isn't worth the fight or the drama. However, if Prussia and Austria are together in Thread X and Hungary is also in Thread X and wants to have a one-sided romance with Prussia or Austria for the drama stuffs, that's fine. However, romantic three-ways can often end in fights or one person being left out. • When posting, there is a two paragraph minimum. Instant replies obviously aren't expected, but put some decent EFFORT into your responses. SIGNING UP PROFILES MUST BE SUBMITTED WITHIN 5 DAYS OF CHARACTER RESERVATION![/size] • When you sign up for a canon character please use the template. You may add more details than is required if you wish, but make sure you fill out everything we require. • If you do not finish your profile by it's due date, it will be moved to the unfinished profiles category. From then you will have 3 DAYS to finish it before your character is OFFICIALLY opened again. • Put effort into your profiles. No one expects a novel, but show that you care. • GENDERBENDS are allowed, but only to a certain extent. We're doing this in hopes of evening out the male-female ratio, so when you APPLY, please state if you wish to do a gender-bend or not. Keep in mind that, while the history of a character might not be changed, genderbent charcters are not replicas of their original. They do have some differing personality traits. • OCs are allowed, but only for countries. No cities, states, or made-up countries. This still leaves room for a LOT of people. • If you wish to drop a current character for another character, PM the head admin and say which character you are dropping. Wait until you receive a reply then audition for your new one. • No more than two canon characters per-person. You may have up to two OCs. [In other words, in total, you may have 4 characters at most.] • Admins may have three canons. Why? They run the forum. They fill requests and do a lot of work; it's their little reward. However, if an admin takes three canons, they may only have one original character. • You do not need to make more than one account to use multiple characters. Just change your title. For example: if someone did Prussia and China, they might change their display name to Prussia//China. Don't get fancy with the *~*~*~* because that often stretches the forum and that's really annoying. No offense. The last passcode is "square," but keep reading. • Yes, you need the RP sample. Yes, you can use one from another forum, but it MUST be for the character you are applying for and somehow show that you know their personality. Any Hetalia-verse is fine. • OCs are allowed, but only for countries. No cities, states, or made-up countries. This still leaves room for a LOT of people. We'll likely be more nit-picky on these apps but we'll also do our best to be fair. Keep in mind that these OCs need to be based on STEREOTYPES of the countries, not just someone with a cool personality. It is up to you if you do the research or not, but please put some effort into your OCs. • If you wish to drop a current character for another character, PM the head admin and say which character you are dropping. Wait until you receive a reply, then audition for your new one. • Prove you read the rules by answering the last question in orange. Edited by Prussia, May 6 2011, 06:07 PM.

Posting Order So that we don't have any complaints about tea-partying or people being left behind, there will be a posting order enforced. It will work like this: Suppose America starts a thread and Prussia joins, the order would be back and forth posting. Simple, yes? No double-posting is a given. However... Should Austria jump in, like so... - America - Prussia - Austria Just continue on like that. BUT! - America - Austria - Prussia ... the order should go on like this: - America - Austria (joining post) - Prussia - America - Prussia - Austria - America - Prussia - Austria Understood? Another note, there is one exception to this rule: Should America and England be conversing in say, a separate room in the same roleplay thread, they may post individually of Austria and Prussia (in which case the one-to-one posting ratio applies once more.)* - America - England - America - England - Austria - Prussia - America - England - America Get it? Good. |
