An ash stricken Smile

As the sun spewed vibrant yellow upon a gray dreary earth he stood upon his afflicted feet. With ash slipping through the fingers of his hands, falling upon the destitute soil only to be slung about again by a cold slate stained wind he trembled at the vivid image painted upon the sky, for the swirling crimson tainted clouds screamed the screams that it's victims hadn't screamed. And howled the angry howls that the vengeful earth spewed from it's black core.
Anger was not in him, nor fear, nor strength. He was nothing, just ash. Walking, moving, breathing, dieing ash. His bloodstained eyes told the story, the story of turmoil, the story of pain, the story of long lost fear, all one tale. As the mushroom swelled above his head, he stumbled to the ground as if the fabric of his being screamed in agony, yet his throat remained empty. As his palms curled around the ash he pierced the mushroom set upon the bitter sky. Peered he did into the very heart of the retched beast as if lost in lust. His body crumpled to the ash, only a smile could be seen forming upon his lips as his heart faded into the abyss upon the sky...
