“Hicksville.” Will grunted, largely to himself. He was in the so called Bible Belt of the US. It hadn't been an overly long trip, all things considered. It had barely been a day since Sid's class at Shibusen, in which Ruben and Will had been asked to spar with some kid called Fin, and both Fin and Ruben had ended up in the infirmary. Will had followed them in, thinking of gettng his grope revenge, when some teacher had rushed in, looking for students badly injured enough to pose as people seeking healing, for a mission. Will's blindness had been latched onto as the perfect excuse, and so he, along with Fin, who had been conveniently there and ready for action, were scooped up and given a mission. Ruben, who was still unconscious, had sadly missed out on the whole thing. Will chewed on a piece of grass. Although he couldn't see it, the land was arid, and populated almost exclusively by cacti, and the occasional patch of scrubby, half-dead grass. He could smell the dust, however, which had already taken the opportunity to coat everything in an even layer of brown. Somewhere in the background a dog was barking excitedly, and was answered with whistles from a particularly bossy owner. Will, Sivan, and Fen had made it to the centre of town, but Will's soul perception was picking up a maximum of five-eight souls in the surrounding area (he thought). There was no noise of traffic, and despite the fact that it was winter, the sun baked the land shamelessly. His usual outfit had been replaced with a flannel long sleeve t-shirt, unbuttoned, over a white singlet. He wore old but unpatched jeans, and a deep wide-brimmed straw hat performed the dual duty of shading the teen's face, and keeping his blind eyes largely hidden from sight (the sight of others, that is, not from Will's sight, obviously). Will had a regular blind man's cane with him, which (apart from the teen's pale skin) was the only detail to spoil the illusion of a through and through redneck. The blind weapon couldn't believe he'd been shipped off on a mission with both Fin, and that dickhead who had stolen his wallet and groped him in the Mega-test – the only person currently ahead of Fin in Will's mental 'To Do' list. It was as though fate had handed him a golden opportunity to settle all his debts before the new year started in earnest. He grinned mischievously. “First things first – we track down these mofos. I reckon we need to hire a car or... whatever passes for a car around these parts, I don't know, a tractor? Pulled by a team of cows?” A nearby local scowled at Will's overly loud and obnoxious comment, and put in a couple of earbuds that were attached to an iPhone. “Anyway, whatever we get, I'm driving. I don't know if anyone told you guys but I am actually a stunt, race-car driver, so yeah. I'll take the wheel, I just don't trust you sighted people with the job.” Will was in no way a driver, but he'd long ago learned that asking for such things often resulted in being stuffed into the back seat of a vehicle, rather than being given the keys, and he had always wanted to try driving for real (of course he had been given lessons in the basics by a friend called Sam, who had no scruples and didn't care if the blind boy injured himself, or others or both). |

"Hicksville." the blind boy voiced, flatly. Indeed. Fen had been snagged along with the blind weapon shortly after their sparring match. Being injured was a necessity in this mission, one that Fen winced at with every step. A sharp pain, and a low throbbing that pulsed through his entire leg told him his feet weren't healed yet. The sand and dust felt warm and prickly on his feet and he stopped a moment to enjoy the feeling before continuing. The sun beat down aggressively on Fen's exposed skin. He was not a fan of the heat, yet somehow always ended up in it, one way or another. His very first mission, assisting with the assault on the fiend factory, had started in a blizzard, although within the hour he had almost been incinerated by lava. And now, this. The arid land spread out in front of him, punctuated by the occassional rolling hill. He gritted his teeth. And speaking of teeth gritting. Fen studied his two companions for the mission. One and a half, might be more appropriate, he thought. There was of course the blind boy, who smelled like men's body spray and dust. The latter could have been due to the copious amounts of dust in the air, however. His other companion looked like he might be blown over by a stiff breeze. He couldn't have been taller than five and a half feet tall, and did not seem to have any muscles of note. It took Fen a moment to realize that he may be the muscle for this mission. This gave him great pleasure. The three of them were to track down an 'innocent' weapon who was turning people into Kishin eggs then eating their souls. Fen was looking forward to breaking his 'innocent' foot off in this guy's 'innocent' ass. “First things first – we track down these mofos. I reckon we need to hire a car or... whatever passes for a car around these parts, I don't know, a tractor? Pulled by a team of cows?” Fen smirked at the blind guy's comment. “Anyway, whatever we get, I'm driving. I don't know if anyone told you guys but I am actually a stunt, race-car driver, so yeah. I'll take the wheel, I just don't trust you sighted people with the job.” Fen turned to the egg-noodle of a man next to him, with a worried look on his face. Oh dear god I hope he can drive Quick to find an alternative, Fen spoke up, "W-Well there's those." Fen motioned to a large building a short distance away with a large field behind it, in which several horses grazed. "It's cliche, but maybe it'd be easier..." He neglected to finish the sentence with '... to avoid a violent, fiery death while riding those.' |

"Look ere blue blood. Yah are now pah of Jimmy's school of Do. As such, dese wimpy NOT missions dat only babies and biggah babies take are too easy for yah. A real weapon laughs at such missions. Which is why yah shall take something that puts hair on your chest. Yah will come back a changed man." The soup spoon was busy getting the school's newest batch of soup for the day ready. Sivan was huddled away in a corner of the kitchen drying out the white undershirt that he had worn for that day's training. It wasn't white any longer but a rather dry red due to Jimmy changing up the soup used for training. The blue haired boy had accidentally revealed that the better a stain can affect his clothing, the more worried he is about it. This explained the huddling in a corner as Sivan honored the death of a fellow clothing item. The stains were set... it was too late. "Good bye... Perhaps we will unite later again." Sivan was busy hosting his funeral to the shirt that lay on the ground and as such he had ignored what Jimmy said. This was enough to get Jimmy sending a spoon towards Sivan. The resulting concussion led to Sivan being brought to the infirmary around the same time Will and Fen were brought. As if there was some sort god that meticulously planned out that all three people needed to be in the infirmary at the same time along with a 4th who was unconcsious at the moment. Sivan was only having his head checked. But when the time came to get people for a mission. Jimmy had asked kindly in a violent manner that Sivan be brought along for Sivan needed some hairs on his chest if he was ever to get better. "Hicksville." Sivan glanced at his two partners. First was Will who seemed to be very into the very appropriate farmer's outfit he had equipped. Sivan was quite envious that the man fit such a mission look so well but there was nut much the fog weapon could do about it. Instead Sivan took a look at the other person who would be working with. It was a tall muscular man. Someone who seemed to have gone through many rounds of combat. A chiseled man who knew everything there was about meistering. A man who seemed composed. A man with horrible fashion taste, but who had time for fashion when they were out being a man of manly proportions. Yes... Sivan had agreed to himself that this muscular man who was ill dressed had just become his newest temporary idol. A man that Sivan must work towards if he was to be as grand a meister this man was made out to be in Sivan's mind. Then the fellow whom Sivan had met a few times before spoke about what they could do when the fellow mentioned something about not trusting sighted people. This started the heavy think process of Sivan's mind. To not trust sighted people meant he wasn't sighted. That must have meant he was blind. He was blind and in Shibusen. He must have been like the daredevil. He must have super senses to make up for not having the ability to see. Sivan almost instantly believed that will could drive if the blind weapon was so sure of himself. Sivan would have gladly let will take the wheel if it wasn't for the fact that there was someone who thought with common sense. Fen had proposed his idea and Sivan immediately agreed. Riding a car while other people drove was fun. Horse back races were just much higher as there was a chance to ride seabiscuit. Yes Much fun would be had. Despite both of his partners for the mission were making it hard for him to choose whom to follow as a role model. It was certain that no matter what, Horse racing would be more enjoyable than hay rides. Sivan finally jumped into the conversation. "HORSES!" That's all that was needed to be said on the matter as Sivan took the first steps as if telling them no matter what, they were going to ride the horses. It was a short walk and Sivan didn't pay any mind to see if his teammates followed. Surely they were smart enough to realize how much better horses were. Instead Sivan was busy pulling out student ID when one of the farmhands stopped him. "Yeh got any reesun to be coming ere?" Sivan flashed his ID as he pretended to put on shades. He didn't have any shades at the moment to pull off the no fucks given look and the attempt only made him look ridiculous. The farmhand who was dressed in dark blue overalls with a long sleeved plaid shirt looked the blue hair child over before scoffing. "Shibsen eh? I heard aint much good coming from that school a da dead. Youse lot had better luck just getting outta here less you want anything to happen." The farmhand chewed a long piece of grain as he leaned over the wooden fence. He had attempted to give the whole group a glare before turning his back to them. "well if ye need horses, I got sum close to kickin' it, won't go much fast, but they keep you off ya feet. Price is mighty fair too. Dat'll help us both and such. What you say?" Sivan had money to rent the horses so he had found no problem with what the farm hand said. Instead he spun around to see if his group was with him and if they were willing to get horses. |

Horses? "Curses! Thwarted again!" Will turned away from the farmer to address his colleges. It would have been a way of making the conversation private, if only Will hadn't also spoken in his regular loud, stupid voice. "I don't think this guy is quite understanding us. Let me handle the negotiations ok? I speaky the language." Will turned back again, cracking his knuckles before tipping his hat. "Howdy pardner! Ahm a sheriff here frahm Shibusen ter rustle up sahm varmints. Ahm gonna need ter borrow them thar horses, what aren't near dead, like. We need the best animahls you gaht to chase down these yeller bellied snakes what gotcha town community-like region in trouble." "Ok guys I think it was a bit shakey in the end, but what I basically asked him was to give us his best horses, because we're from Shibusen, and therefore the best for the job of chasing down the kishin-eggs, unlike these two bit cowboy hicks." It was at about that time that Fen carefully backed away, leaving Will and Sivan with the disbelieving cowboy. The man seemed to be weighing up the pros and cons of punching Will in the face, but in the end he smiled nicely and mentally added $100 to the price of each horse he was planning to sell the group. The niceties were worked out quickly enough, and the group was lead to a small but well kept stable. "This old fellah is called Tough. Tough by name and tough by nature, but old." The cowboy handed over the reigns Tough to Sivan, before clapping a large, powerful hand down on Will's shoulder. "So you're blind eh? Doncha think riding is a little outta your league?" "Huh! Just you watch me! I'll show you riding like you have never seen before!" boasted Will cheerfully. The cowboy grinned wickedly and opened the stable door to reveal a malnourished looking beast. It danced back with fright, and then forward and then back again anxiously. It was clear, even to someone who had no experience with horses, that it was far more skittish than the one given to Sivan. "Here ya go, cowboy, Ahm givin' yeh mah finest animal. Be takin' good care of her aincha? She's called 'Sweetlips.'" Will reached out and attempted to pat Sweetlips on the face reasuringly, and the unreliable horse quickly bit his hand. With a startled 'YEOWCH!' Will quickly retracted his injured hand. "I think me n Sweetlips will get along just fine!" With that he struggled to mount his new ride, scrambling for a purchase (much to Sweetlips' distress and irritation) before sitting astride the creature with a look of smug self-satisfaction. "See? High-Ho SWEETLIPS, AWAY!" The horse set off, mostly wishing to be away from Will. Unfortunately she had no saddle on, and Will had managed to mount her backwards. He toppled off and Sweetlips ran out of the stable and into a small yard beyond. Between bouts of laughter, the man helped Sivan with putting on the tack for Tough, and harnessed up Sweetlips for Will. He was still wiping tears of mirth from his eyes as he waved them farewell. He certainly had seen some riding like he'd never witnessed before. Edited by Imp of Chaos, Jan 18 2012, 07:40 AM.

Sivan certainly seemed to like the idea of horses. He was gone before Fen could get another word out, and already flashing his i.d. to a nearby farmhand. Fen began a purposeful stride in Sivan's direction, but winced as he stepped down too hard, and reverted to a slow gait. The conversation between the farmhand and Sivan began to reach Fen's ears as he approached. "...won't go much fast, but they keep you off ya feet." Hoooooraayyyy, Fen thought happily. Feet were his least favorite thing right now. "Price is mighty fair too." Actually, as it turns out, money was his least favorite thing. Being that he had none. Fen stopped and frowned. He was beginning to regret suggesting horses. The blind boy and the boy in blue seemed to have the farmhand well occupied though... Fen bit his lip. Casually, he retreated from the group, and looked around. Looking down at his wrist, he checked a non-existant watch, as if he had somewhere to be, to give a reason for his absence. Without a glance over the shoulder, he trudged off around the fence. The continued redneck banter he heard over his shoulder informed him that he was not missed. After he was a respectable distance away, he cautioned a look behind him. The farmhand was entering a stable, and the other two students just behind him. Thinking himself the clever man, Fen hopped the fence, and landed with a squelch. This did not feel like the dry, chalky ground his feet had just left. Not at all. He looked down to see his feet ankle-deep in fresh horse poop. Oh karma, how you strike me... he thought to himself. Doing a little backwards shuffle through the dry grass in an effort to clean his feet, Fen browsed the horses in the pasture. Many horses whinnied and backed away from him as he shuffled past, others immediately turning tail and running. A large male horse grunted and flared his nostrils as Fen came close. Instinctively, Fen bared his teeth and growled. Suddenly Fen realized a presence behind him. He turned slowly, and after blinking the sun from his eyes, they grew wide. In front of him stood the most magnificent creature he had ever seen. With a halo bestowed by the sun, and a mane that was whipped by the wind, the Clydesdale towered over Fen. It had a glistening brown coat, that faded to frilly white puffs at the feet. Fen was nearly in tears. He barely managed to hoist himself up upon the towering beast. With his hands on the animal's mane, and his hips gripping tightly, he kicked. The horse thundered off towards the fence, where he could see Sivan and Will leaving the stable with their horses. Well, Sivan at least, Will's horse seemed to have seperated itself from him. Fen chuckled. He prepared for the horse to jump the fence, and tensed. The horse had other ideas. Crashing through the fence like it didn't exist, the Clydesdale kept stride. Sweeeeet, Fen thought. He gave a little wave to Sivan and Will, and headed in their direction. |

Tough... It was obvious by the name that it was a man's horse. It was a rite of passage horse given to boys so that they could become men. Sivan understood this. He examined the horse. It kept it's posture seemed to glare at Sivan. If it was possible to read emotions. It could be seen that this horse was not pleased with boy before him. The horse shot out tufts of air from his nose as if trying to be all hoity toity about the fact that Sivan was not ready to him. This horse seemed to be proud. Sivan on the other hand circled the horse as he studied the magnificent creature he would be riding. Sivan placed his hand on the horse's head. The horse replied by shaking it's head in a manner close to smacking the hand away. The horse rather than sully itself with violence preferred to play the could shoulder game. "So I have to win your respect... Is that it? Very will, I will show you with these hands just what I can do." Sivan slammed the palms of each of his hand against his knees as he spread his feet out to take the stance like a sumo wrestler. "SIVAN THE SEAMSTRESS WILL GET YOUR RESPECT!" Before Sivan could do anything. The farmer that was dealing with Will and Sweetlips had come back from what was a very good time. He stopped Sivan and helped the blue haired weapon onto the horse. After a few rules on what to do and what not to do while riding a horse. The farmer gave Ol' Toughie a slap letting the horse know it was time to lightly trot out of the farm. Once Will was situated on his horse as well. Sivan saw Fen waving at him. "Fen's over there! Follow me! Sivan was about to move to Fen until he realized something, Will was blind. Then again, Will had offered to drive as well as ride a horse. he obviously had some sort of secret as to how he traveled the world without problems. If the man could say he could do it. Sivan believed him. So Sivan tried to get tough to listen to him. "Onwards Tought!" Sivan attempted to snap the rein. No luck, Tough didn't respond. Sivan tried to get the horse to listen as he kept snapping the rein and shouted more wards of encouragement. Nothing was working so sivan tried to dig his heels into the horse. NEEEIIIIGGGHHH Tough was irritated at the pestering mosquito that was situated on his back. This little buzzing parasite wanted to go to the intimidating fellow? Tough wasn't going to allow that. Tough turned around and began to run the other way. Tough wasn't galloping, but he was keeping up a healthy jog in any direction that wasn't where Fen was. If Will could follow Sivan they'd be going the wrong way. "TRY TO CATCH UP!" Sivan didn't seem quite bothered with the turn of events as horse ran. He enjoyed the breeze in his hair as he tried to see what was passing by. Tractors, farmers, corn oh my! Sivan rather enjoyed this bible belt of a place. It looked exactly like the movies! Of course the direction that Tough was towards was a church. It was a farmer's car crash without the crashing or the cars. Instead Tough stopped in an attempt to launch sivan off his back. Sivan gripped the reins as to not fall off and instead found him flying shortly before falling back unto Tough. "BLIND GUY! MUMMY! ARE YOU NEARBY? Sivan would have looked but he was confused after the run and the flying. He rolled a saving roll. 1 All he could do was lay on Tough he was chewing from a bale of hay. Sivan had to wait a bit longer before he could try and sit up and readjust to reality. |

The farmer's grin as he watched Will's horse dancing off into the distance, and Sivan's trudging mulishly forward was short-lived. With a whoop, and a meaty crunch the gate from the horse paddock was flung from its hinges, and one of his prize horses was making a quick get-away with the third member of the Shibusen party astride. "Wh-GAHDDANGIT!" The man shouted, finally realising that if he didn't leap into action that he would soon lose the horse - but more than that, the rest of the horses in the paddock were startled by events, and if he didn't find some way to fix the gate back into place he would lose more than one horse. Still cursing, the farmer rushed to prevent the loss of any other animals, already planning his revenge. He wouldn't call the police - these guys expected a game of cowboys? They were going to get one. They might have a head-start, but he would be able to rustle up his neighbours, their steeds, and their guns, and go on a good old fashioned man-hunt. Tough and Sweetlips wouldn't get too far, and no doubt they would hold back their team mate as well. Meanwhile, Sivan was going in the wrong direction, while Fen was charging down the road, clearly unable to stop himself. Will didn't care where he was going, as long as he was going there fast. He allowed the reigns to slack and urged his horse on with his heels, shouting 'YAH!' and 'GEEUP!'. For a moment it seemed unhappy and anxious, swerving wildly around the road, before deciding to follow the other horse it had seen bolting off down the road. Rearing up and almost successfully dislodging Will, the horse sped after Fen, leaving Sivan to attempt to best his mulish mount. With its eyes rolling madly, the horse galloped at its top speed until it caught up with Fen's beast, but then it failed to slow down and continued past Fen. Will was laughing, even as each galloping stride threatened to unseat him, and rattled his bones. His arse was getting very sore, and his thighs were tiring from trying to keep a grasp of the horse under him. While Fen's had slowed to a respectable trot, Will's horse was crazy and skittish. "Fin! Grra-ah-b the rei-gn-s!" Shouted Will, who had been forced to abandon the reigns in favour of grasping the saddle firmly with both hands to prevent himself being dislodged. Of course, first Fen would have to catch up. Edited by Imp of Chaos, Jan 19 2012, 12:39 PM.

In his ecstatic glee at finding the perfect steed, Fen had neglected to make a discrete exit from the horse pasture. In fact, a quick glance over his shoulder told him that the farmhand was rather perturbed. Ha, but what was he going to do? With a grin, Fen turned back, enjoying the wind whipping across his face, and tossing his unruly hair about. The clydesdale galloped onward, giving no hints of slowing or stopping. The ride was surprisingly smooth, Fen considered, before he realized that it was only so because the tank of a horse was crushing anything that may have caused a hiccup in his ride. This. This is awesome. he silently agreed with himself, nodding. With a sigh, he remembered that they had a mission, and scanned for his partners. He spied Sivan going a respectable speed. In the other direction. Fen frowned, but quickly dismissed his worries. Oh, he'll catch up. Now for the other one... the blind one. Looking around, Fen could not find him. That's... odd. Suddenly, a mixture of wild galloping and laughing reached Fen's ears. He did a double-take over his shoulder as Will, mounted on a creature flailing about, came astride with Fen and his horse. He watched them wordlessly as they passed, the gait of Will's horse being enough to cause him to burst out laughing afterwards. "Fin! Grra-ah-b the rei-gn-s!" the boy managed to say between the horse's jolting strides. Did he say Fin-- NO TIME! Fen realized the severity of the situation. Although, the other horse looked like it was going to hurt itself long before it hurt anyone else. He grabbed his horse's mane tightly, got his head low, and kicked it hard. The horse didn't react for a moment, and Fen wondered if this was the clydesdale's speed limit. He barely had time to consider a joke involving 'horse-power' before the animal kicked it into high gear. He could only hold on as the horse jolted forward without warning, demolishing a defenseless mailbox that happened to be in the way. Slowly but surely, he closed the distance between him and Will, who was still holding onto the saddle for dear life. As he came along side, he grabbed the clydesdale's mane, held on with his thighs, and allowed himself to slide over sideways on the horse. Avoiding thoughts of peeing himself, Fen reached out for the other horse's reigns. Of course, it's blatant flailing about made this rather difficult. Luckily (or unluckily), the clydesdale did not take to kindly to having it's mane wrenched on, and immediately began a rather sharp turn to the right. Fen grabbed the now in-reach reigns before returning upright quickly, and straightening his horse's trajectory. Easing back on his own horse's mane, and Will's horse's reigns, they slowed to a stop. "Well that was.... invigorating. Where do we go now?" |

Sivan was left to his own mischief as he remained on the horse. His teammates had gone in the other direction away from him. It was easily the opposite direction, but in his current mixed up head. It could've been left, right, fly up, dig down, rocket ship into space. What that meant was that Sivan had lost them. Instead he remained on ol toughie until the world began to clear up. As if though someone had taken away prescription glasses he never needed. Once everything was settled and he could tell that the trees were no longer dancing. He tried to look around to find his team mates. They were gone. This meant that Sivan had to enter Super Detective mode to find them! First things first was to enter any large building in search of clues. Especially look at odd crates and boxes for any possible potions or elixirs that nobody would ever use cause they never knew when there would be a situation bad enough to need it. The only thing that remained was trying to get the horse to go with him and listen to him. "Ok. So you don't like me and I don't hate you. It seems we are on different grounds here. Now what will it take me to get you on the same level as me?" Sivan engaged in an attempt to bribe his horse into agreeing with him. After all, horses were smarter than they let themselves be seen as. Sneaky four legged mammal. Other than that the animal decided not to listen to Sivan and so Sivan was forced to get off the horse. "I'll be back!" Sivan walked to the building he was near to see if he could get leads on anything. Sivan entered the church house and he glanced around. There were only two or three people and it was the people who were heavily dressed in garbs that were black and white. It took Sivan a bit to figure out why there outfits were so tacky until it hit him that that they were pastors and nuns of the church. It allll made sense. Who'd want to be with someone dressed like that. Suited their whole celibacy thing quite nicely. "Excuse me! Have you seen a blind man or a dude wrapped with more bandages than possibly needed nearby?" No it didn't occur to the blue haired weapon that they had just recently headed in the opposite direction just seconds ago. He was a super detective and these were the most basic questions to be asked. One of the pastors looked up quite shocked to see another human being in the building. "How odd to witness another being entering the church today..." Sivan tilted his head confused by that remark. "It seems ever since that man has arrived. People have been shirking their rightful duties to god as well as this farm. Especially the younguns whom stopped attending school. Blithering idiot has a show coming again in less than an hour around here. Bad enough he has made many of the citizens lose their christian morals. It seems quite a bit of them are losing their human ones as well." Sivan assumed he had arrived at a bad time as he tip-toed out of the building while the pastor continued on with the rant regardless of who was there and who wasn't. It was obvious he'd have to look elsewhere. Looking for his horse. Sivan spotted a few people walking towards will and fen had went. Quite a few actually. Sivan immediately grinned to himself. Where there are more people, their is a chance of finding his other teammates. He spotted Tough and attempted to mount the horse once more. It succeeded and he tried to get the horse to move. This also seemed to work as the horse started trudging towards a destination. It wasn't a straight path and it involved kicking and jumping. But they were finally getting somewhere. |

The farmer (George) had finished securing the gate, and hurrying inside, and even rounding up a posse of righteous neighbours to track down those scummy kids and beat them up before taking back the horses. The only thing was, they had to do it quickly. It was only one hour until the great and glorious Mr Metronome was due for a show, and no one who had seen his other shows wanted to miss this one. The farmer spurred his horse onwards with more force than was necessary. Even a week ago he would have shaken his head to see someone treat a horse like that, but now he was in a rush and looking forward to the violence that was to come. He could practically hear the cries of those dumb arse kids ringing in his ears already. With a grin, George cocked a pellet gun. The BB wasn't going to cause fatal damage, but it sure as hell would leave a mark. One or two of the other guys were similarly equipped, while another of them sported an electric cattle prod. Every one of them was unusually determined to cause bloodshed. Will was glad that Fen had caught his horse. Despite the fun it had been when Sweetlips had gone nuts, Will had been growing tired of his teeth rattling around in his head. Luckily the horse seemed to have tired itself out for the time being, and had quit its agitated prancing. "Where is Sivan?" Will frowned. He didn't want to go looking for party members, he wanted his super fun cowboy adventure and he wanted it now. Impatiently he activated his soul perception and concentrated. "Huuh. There is a big group coming up behind us, and possibly a group ahead. Maybe they are bandits!" Excitedly Will started urging his horse forward. He was itching for a fight, and with bandits he could pull a whole cowboy deal on them and it would be awesome! It didn't occur to him at the time that he and Fen were vastly outnumbered, or even that the souls he could sense seemed to be innocent enough that he wouldn't be able to actually deal that much damage. "Yee HAW COWBOY!" Sweetlips, fed up with Will, gave a sudden and violent kick, and Will flew off into some very thick bushes by the roadside. They were prickly with dehydration and scratched at the stunned teen, prodding him in the most uncomfortable of ways. Will lay stunned, mostly covered from view, as Sweetlips turned around and trotted back the way it had come, with the air of someone who had been very hard done by.
