For the rest of the day, Ari remained silent. Instead of the hostility he brought about, he just walked around. His eyes were as wide as saucers, a deeply disturbed look about him. What could have brought about such a change? A simple reminder of the past he was making no progress to avenge, that's what. For the rest of the day, all he remember was that dreadful day. The last thing he had heard was that earsplitting wail of the Morrigan. And as his hearing went into violent ringing, he saw his 'mother' and 'father' die. Their heads had exploded into brain matter and skull fragments. And somehow, the boy survived that attack. When he walked out of the house after collecting himself, he saw people on the streets. The streets were filled with crashed cars, the houses seemed to stop in time. And all around him, the people's bodies were fallen, their heads popped clean from their necks like zits. The life he once knew was shattered at the scream. And what he thought was luck at the time, he saw another survivor. She was a brown haired girl he had feelings for. She had experienced the shriek of the banshee as well, somehow surviving. Like him, blood had come out of her ears, and her nose. The two of them had attempted to flee the town, before the Morrigan would make a second sweep. And as they climbed up the hill, reality set in. It was not luck that he found her, but fate mocking him. Her grip had ultimately slipped, and before she could even recover, the monster was there. The ragged robes of the creature emanated a mortifying chill down his spine, forcing him to flee. And with that, the last person he knew in his life was killed. He had left her behind, he had failed her. Finally, the bell rang to signal the end of the day. Students started filing out of the class, as well as Ari. He made his way to the lockers in order to get some stuff. So far, there was one thing he was missing, his medication. He had left it in the gymnasium locker room. Hurrying over, he made his way through the gym. Eventually, he was in the boy's locker room. As always, he had removed the dial lock from his locker. And in his gym bag within, he found his gym clothes and his bottle of uppers. After extracting the medication, he zipped up the bag and locked the locker. Now he would make his way out of the gym, which seemed to be empty right now. . . . |

Her mind still wraveled around the boy whom had actually got her to blurt out everything the full story of her parents death and it angered her the more she thought about it! After she had stormed out of the lunchroom after shoving people out of her way she had finished the school day in the chorus room which was deserted. She had pulled out her blank paper and started working on the lyrics that finally came to her mind. As she scribbled them she felt tears fall from her lids after so long. How had it happened?! How had she let such a little prick get to her enough that she blurted out her greatest pain... That just as the rumors put she believed herself hopeless and useless though she wouldn't allow any in the school to see her as this only as the simple minded hating the world dry cut humor woman she was becoming at the age of only sixteen. Finally her mind traveled away from the hatred and more into the good parts of her past. Images coming around and across her eyes as she hummed out a tune. When the end of the day bell rang she stood from the small chorus stage and raced out of the room not wanting anyone to know she had been there for there would be after school chorus practice coming in shortly. As she ran down the stairs and towards the gym though she felt her mind jolt back to the boy she had met earlier and though her mind boiled with hatred at him seemingly mocking her she did remember his shocked expression and how he had actually just taken off to another table. It made no sense to her... why would he seemingly sympathize with her? Shaking her head once more though she slid her headphones to her ears and started her music player up. Entering the gym she was glad to find it semi dark and empty. She came here every so often if their wasn't a practice going on and would just work on her lyrics as well as sing some of the songs that gave her inspiration. Sitting down in the bleachers she turned her headphones up to almost full blast. Humming calmly she hadn't noticed anyone else in the gym, but then carefully as the door to the boy's locker room slammed shut finally she looked up surprised to see the boy from earlier, "What the..." She muttered. |

Of course, the gym wasn't that empty. As he would exit, he saw the girl from before. The same short girl that had brought him back to that day. She had a story similar to hers, she had no partner to speak of. She was very strangely similar to the boy before her. Even though he met his biological parents, that's all they were to him. The Vineyards had raised him for thirteen years, they were his family. And even though the Vineyards raised him, what they had taught him went to hell. Mr. Rigor had the influence that turned him into the hateful little asshole he is today. At first, he wanted to ignore her. As someone with a hellish story, he didn't want to talk about it much, and that's why not many knew of it. But he was so absorbed in his anger that he managed to make her spill. He honestly felt bad about making her do such a thing. Perhaps she should know what happened to him? With a deep sigh, he walked over to the girl. "Uh, sorry about earlier. . . .", he said to the girl remorsefully. "I understand that you didn't want to blurt that out, so I guess I could even shit out, and talk about my story?", he offered the girl. |

Amaya was surprised in fact hella surprised when the boy from earlier came up to her. As he spoke she read his lips at first her music still blaring from her headphones then carefully she lowered them and turned off her music player. She put her notebook aside which had the lyrics she'd been writing from earlier on it. She nodded carefully, "It's alright... I shouldn't have been angered with you earlier or at least not as angered... it just still hits me to this day that those couple of years ago i could have done something only to just end up running like a damn fool... so much blood... it made my stomach churn and my heart burn just to see it... many in this school are surprised i haven't gone kishin from what i saw... but i made a promise that day that nothing would stand in my way of killing the witch and that kishin girl... no one and nothing... but once i became hardened and silent except for fights here and there as well as with the rumors floating around I haven't been able to get a partner anywhere..." She carefully then looked at the boy tears brimming on her eyes, but carefully she whiped them away, "I'm sorry i'm just blabbering on... if you wish to tell your story i'm here to listen... i mean i don't expect you to just come out and tell me it... not after my attitude today... thus secondly its not really my business nor anyone, but your own... I'm just willing to listen if you truly want to tell me..." |

Well, it seemed the girl was willing to listen. He half expected her to go partial on him and cut his ass. It was his fault that this all happened. If he had gotten to a table faster, he might have had his damn lunch. But instead, he just had to slow down for a moment. . . . She had told him of the rumors. To be honest, he didn't listen to the rumor mill around here anyway. He knew it existed, but he didn't give a fuck. The only reason he wouldn't go down that path is because the same path is the one that killed his friends and family. He closed his eyes for a moment after she finished. "Well, I forced you to come out, I pissed you off. . . I might as well even this shit out. . . .", he said hesitantly. And then, he sat down next to the girl, looking at her. "It was four years ago. I lived in the Northeastern United States for my whole life at that point. Life was uneventful, but alright. Until that bitch showed up and killed everyone. That Banshee Queen targeted my hometown. I survived the initial scream of the demon. . . . But my parents. . . they didn't. I can still remember how their heads exploded from their shoulders. . . . .", he said to the girl, taking a moment to pause in order to collect himself. "When I went outside to get help, I looked around. I saw crashed cars and dead pedestrians. The heads of the drivers, passengers and pedestrians were all popped clean off, just like my parents. I thought I could save one girl, but as we ran. . . . she slipped, and was caught by the demon. And I just fucking ran away, like a coward. . . ., he continued. But then, he punched the bench. "I LET HER THE FUCK DOWN!!", he shouted. That moment never left his mind, where he was close to the monster as she feasted on the girl. |

When the boy began telling her his story she was surprised at his tone, but intently she listened. He had gone through something much like herself only he had not only lost his family he had lost his friends and someone he truly cared about. Shivering for a moment she let her mind travel into what she had seen, but was pulled right back into the present when the fist hit the bench. She jumped from her seat for a moment and when she did she fell forward tumbling down the bleachers, "Shit!" she screeched as she went tumbling pulling herself into a nice tight roll. When she landed down on the gym floor she shook her head for a moment before holding her head which was now spinning, "Damn... i need to stop doing that..." She then looked up at the boy. "Sorry about that you probably think i wasn't listenin cause of that... I was completely listening it was just you really surprised me when you slammed your fist onto the bench..." She then gave him a wide smile something she didn't do often. |

After she had rolled off the bleachers, he realized what he had done. He had a tendency to have some violent outburst when it came to that kind of thing. He still couldn't get over the fact that he could do absolutely nothing. And by now, he wouldn't be surprised if someone else killed that Banshee Queen. For four years, all he could do was sit around and watch practically. Going back to his driving force knowing this was painful for him. After shaking his head, he looked over at her. It was a very fast shake, as if he was shaking himself awake. "Eh, its fine. Its just that I go violent on objects when I discuss it.", he said to her. "You should see what goes down at my shrink's. . . .", he added with a chuckle. He was aware of what he was. "But yeah, I guess we're not so different after all, right?", he asked the girl. |

Amaya nodded carefully as the boy chuckled about his therapy session which made a smile come to her own lips once more, "Aye that i'll agree with... I should probably be in therapy sessions to but um... ya... when your a machete weapon i think some of the therapists are afraid you get violent you'll chop their heads off... My mom was quite the violent little hatchet weapon when you got her set off!" This sent a laugh through her system making her rub the back of her head, "And my dad... wow... i wonder how he handled my mom being her meister after all had to have been quite the adventure!" Standing carefully from the floor she slid one headphone back into her ear and pumped her music back into play. As she did her foot began tapping carefully. She loved her music with a passion for now adays it had been her only real friend. Quickly racing up the bleachers once more she went over to where her lyrics and notebooks were. Picking them up she went back to sit next to the boy, "I didn't catch your name by the way... the names Amaya..." She then closed her eyes and smiled happily for once. |

Ari couldn't help but laugh. He could see how the therapists would be afraid of her. This wasn't a taunting laughter, but rather a 'conversational' laughter in response to her remark. But then, she talked about her parents, a hatchet and her meister. That must have been one hell of a team, and a couple. "Oh geez. . . .", he said in response to it all. Then, she got up on the bench. She introduced herself as Amaya. She had asked him what his name was. She had a happy expression on her face. "The name's Ari. . . Glad to get to know you, Amaya. . . .", he said to the girl. And then, something dawned on him. She was a machete without a partner. And he was a meister without a partner. Both of them were driven by the desire to spill the blood of a bitch that killed their families. "So, you said you had no partner, huh?", he said to the girl with a bit of a grin. But this wasn't a taunting grin. This was one of those grins that showed he had something in mind. |

Amaya nodded carefully to the boy as he introduced himself. He said his name was Ari which in her opinion was quite the name, but then again many names meant something to her for many people had quite the names. As he got spoke about her not having a meister and then got a grin on his face she nodded carefully not responding at first. She wasn't totally sure what he was getting at here. Yes she didn't have a meister, but she had begun to down for a long time now that she would ever have one. Finally after a moment she spoke, "Yes... I have no meister... but why do you ask..." She then carefully watched him wondering what could possibly be going through his mind. It seemed this boy was very thought pervoking which make it interesting to speak with him. He was one of the few people as of late that she had actually sat around and talked to for she hated being around many people now adays for their snide comments and such. The only time she'd even involve herself with most of the student body besides classes was to get into a fight with them so it was quite intriguing to just sit here and talk to someone for once. |
