Having just arrived at this new large school, Vilixas was very much so lost. She did enjoy the architecture which came as a comfort considering she had no idea where she was. This wasn't very surprising though, she wasn't good with directions. That's what Saxthom was good at and she had never really bothered to learn. That's when it suddenly occurred to her, "where'd Saxxy go? Oh man, now what am I going to do? I've misplaced my partner, all hope is lost!" Then she decided she was being too dramatic and she could always just retrace her steps. So she turned around and began to walk the way she came, thinking she had somewhere else to be, but she couldn't remember where that was. After walking a few paces she began to admire the architecture again and then realized she was walking aimlessly. She couldn't remember where she had been already and if she made a turn or not. Not being able to notice most things and being easily distracted were not good combinations yet they came in the form of her. She sat down under one of the many candles and figured it would be easier just to wait for her partner here. Surely he would come by at one point or another. "I wish I could sense souls." She said looking up at the candle, talking to no one. Suddenly she heard footsteps. She wasn't sure how to react. Would they notice me? Who is it? Should I say something? These thoughts came out of nowhere and bounced all around her head until she found herself hiding behind a statue. |

Not footsteps, but a pair of footsteps, in fact. Two circular faces peered around from either side of the statue. The one on the right showed some confusion at the position that Vilixas had taken up, the one on the left showed genuine concern. "Someone's lost!" "Yes, but we should probably offer some assistance. We do know the way, after all." "'coz the years of sp--" The faces jerked backwards again. Vera had pulled Reva back and was explaining something along the lines of not making anyone think they were creepy stalkers, or something of that persuasion. The response was a simple noise that resembled a 'pch', and the faces emerged once more. "..'coz we're pretty good with directions!", Reva finished. The two took a few steps backwards and waited a while to see if the new girl would emerge from her new-found shell. Though they all should have been in the same boat, the twins had been looking through the eyeglass for a while and knew exactly what to expect from these waters. It would appear that not everyone had the same foresight and nautical prowess as them, though their double act didn't put this across very well, all they managed to do was look like another troublesome pair instead of seasoned tour guides. Vera mumbled something barely audible to her sister about her hair. "YOU LOOK FINE, GEEZ. Nobody'll hate you for a frickin' flick!", Reva vociferated rather loudly back to Vera. This was no time to be concerned about keratin, a dame was in need. Edited by Sega, Jun 21 2010, 06:48 AM.

"How hard is 'third door on the left'?" Staring at the clock Saxthom felt the all too familiar feeling of wondering where Vili could have possibly wondered off to. The only thing worse than her sense of time was that of directions, and the schools elaborate structure probably wouldn't help much. For some length of time he strongly considered looking for her, at least if they were going to be late they would be late together. In the end, he decided to let her figure it out on her own, if nothing else she might learn to take his advice from time to time. "Though I guess I may have been a bit generous giving myself time to get to class. Damn.... Oh well, nap time I guess." He wouldn't really sleep, of course. How could he on his first day at the academy? Though the comment did seem to reassure him some. Looking around, he wasn't surprised to see that he was the only one in the class room. Not even the teacher had arrived yet. Trying to pass the time he found a seat in the middle of the room and opened a book on the desk. Though more interested in pondering the students he would meet that day than the worn book of myths on the table, he began to daydream. He almost fell out of his chair when he heard the door squeak open. He was a touch embarrassed and more than a touch nervous about who could be at the door. He didn't know why but he couldn't look up just yet. Trying to think on his feet, he decided he would let the stranger have the first move. |

Vilixas was very confused by the sudden appearance of two girls that she had never seen before. Although she realized that she shouldn't be surprised considering she was new at this school and they apparently, were not. The argument they appeared to be having made her think they were sisters, but she wasn't entirely sure because she never had any. During their chatter she was wondering who it was they were talking about and why they were so very concerned. Or at least one was. After some time she realized she was behind a statue. The two girls hadn't directly addressed her and since she wasn't the kind to be shy she decided to address them first, jumping out of the statue she said with a huge smile "Hi there!" But, as luck would have it, she happen to have landed on her foot wrong and slipped until she found herself staring at the ceiling. More than a little embarrassed she decided to lay here for a moment to dwell on her mistake. She realized that the roofs were fairly intricate themselves and it suddenly took her attention and she began to draw imaginary things with her hands, connecting the dots in the air. |

The next volley of questions and answers thrown between the twins happened so quickly and simultaneously, the only part recognisable was the last few words from Reva, "..gone right off the deep end.", before Vera decided to break from their side-by-side formation and offer a hand to Vilixas. This was purely a gesture of kindness, if only because the young girl would probably lack the strength to be of literal help in pulling her up. "Are you alright? Didn't hit your head or anything..?" Vera looked over Vili. She did her best not to make an unusual face when examining the mad hairstyle of Vili's up close, which she found to be similar to her sister's though it lacked the familiarity. Speaking of which, Vera also didn't hesitate to dig up an errand for Reva to run, it would only be a matter of time before her short attention span hit rock bottom. "Can.. we help you in any way?", she asked with her usual soft tone, the kind you would use when talking near a sleeping person. Reva meanwhile attempted to entertain herself by looking for whatever Vili was pointing at. A quest of futility. |

Vilixas was very proud of herself. She had managed to draw a bunny. Then she sighed because she remembered her imagination was a much better artist than she actually was. She looked away from the bunny for a second because she remembered there were people around and she was still on the floor. The two appeared to be arguing more so she lost interest and looked back at her bunny, but she realized it was gone. She wanted to draw it again, but then suddenly it occurred to her that someone was talking to her. She looked up and noticed these two girls looked basically the same except for some subtle differences. She couldn't decide which one had spoken to her considering they were both looking at her. Can we help you in any way? The question seemed to float around her head trying to find a place where it belonged. She couldn't quite remember what she had been doing before the bunny. Then a single word came to her, Saxthom, and something seemed to click. She pulled herself off the floor and began to address the girl's question. "Hi, I'm Vilixas, but you can call me Vili. I'm kinda lost at the moment... My partner told me our classroom was the third door on the left, but I can't seem to remember where I started from. Do you think you could help me find it? Actually I don't even know who my teacher is." She felt like she sounded rather silly, but decided she didn't care. Edited by Vilixas, Jun 22 2010, 05:04 AM.

"Three's after two and one!", Reva's attention snapped back to the conversation and let loose a massively useless contribution, though she thought it useful at the time. Vera waved a hand to her without looking backwards, which was pretty much their signal for 'be quiet because you're about to say another thing that's absolutely stupid'. "Well, do you know the number of the room or something? Between the two of us we'll be able to find it." Vera informed Vilixas, trying not to look proud of their top-notch navigation. This was easily suppressed by the sudden feeling of both awkwardness and kinship brought on as Reva threw an arm around her shoulder, and jabbed a finger into the side of her face. "That's Vera! I'm Reva!", Reva interrupted. "You have a partner!? You should pretty much completely tell us everything about them!" "..on the way to your room, of course.", Vera finished. The twins glanced at each other, and instinctively gave each other a fistbump. The collision made a loud crack, not because they had hit hard, but because their knuckles had knocked together so cleanly. It was almost as if they had done this a million times before. In reality, this wasn't too far from the truth. |

Vilixas was slightly confused. The fact that the two seemed to finish one another's sentences didn't bode well with her short attention span. Although, one would think it would. "Thank you, that's very kind of you." She said because she didn't know what else to say. "Umm.." She began to look through her pockets to find the paper that Sax had written her to make sure she got to the class okay. She had forgotten about that until they asked about the number of her classroom. "I believe" she had finally found the paper and looked at Saxthom's scrawly handwriting, "It's classroom number... 13. Yeah, that looks about right." "My partner wrote me this so I wouldn't get lost. He's usually the one leading the way. His name is Saxthom and he's my meister. So are you two partners?" They seemed so connected that she was sure that's what the case must be. "Oh, and do you two happen to know where my room is?" She had almost forgotten about that part. |

Reva turned around, and almost looked like she was going for a front flip before Vera stopped her and once again dulled her enthusiasm a touch. "She can't do that." "..So we're going to WALK? Lame!" Vera took the leading position, keeping Reva on a tight leash and answering Vilixas' questions, in the wrong order, naturally. "Like we said, we'll find it. You'll get used to this place soon. And uh.. we're sort of partners. I mean, we're both weapons so we can't really be true partners but I guess.. the whole thing.. it's a synonym for um..", she turned to her sister for assistance. "..that we kick ass?" "Something of that description." "About that. We know it's kind of the thing for a meister to lead but can you like.. not get yourself killed if you're on your own? Take care of ya'self, that kind of thing?" Reva was veering left and right down the hallway, almost as if she couldn't bear walking at the same speed as a normal person. Occasionally she would think of trying to bother someone to take the edge off the sluggish feelings, but they were dispelled each time Vera took a glance. For Vera, it felt like she was babysitting two at once. |
