Let me take a moment to tell you about stairs. Stairs are basically the pinnacle of creating footholds with which to ascend and descend in buildings of a large vertical persuasion. Shibusen being a building of a large vertical persuasion inevitably means it will feature stairs at some point. Stairs generally are formed by cuboid shapes, with sharp edges and often the minimum amount of foot space required, to reduce the space needed for the same amount of resultant vertical elevation. This of course also makes them extremely easy AND painful to fall down. Coincidentally.. "GOD. DAMN. IT." Jenna picked herself up. Her clumsiness knew no bounds in new locations, especially when structures chose to smack stairs right where there were awe-inspiring pieces of architecture, thus creating the ultimate trap for those easily distracted. Her circumstances also did not help; today she had opted for a slightly longer skirt than usual, as well as a shirt with sleeves. Skin was to be kept to a minimum on the first visit to the school, after all. Nevertheless, covering up is no good if you fall down a flight and scuff up everything with plenty of dust. She began the task of brushing herself down, one which is always rather dull and embarrassing but was more comforting since nobody had witnessed her folly (to her knowledge that is). Brushing yourself down is also much quicker if you have what basically amounts to six arms, as she flailed her cords in a wild attempt to send the grey particles ground-bound once more. Strewn across the stairs now were various sheets of paper that had chosen to take the leap of faith as gravity had worked it's magic on Jenna's dignity. The task of picking up paper was one on an equal level as brushing yourself down, and she paused to gather her thoughts instead. Getting worked up about this would be a bad idea, mainly because stairs do not yield souls upon defeat, however, she took note of this particular flight and planned a suitable revenge. Or she would if she had a few screws loose. I mean, they're just stairs. A deep breath was just enough to soothe her nerves, even with nerves of literal steel one could induce rage if they do not handle situations properly. As such, she began to pick up her paperwork in a proper manner. A 'proper manner' here can be described as screaming the obscenities within your mind, rather than into the hallways. "You were given frontal vision for a reason. Focus. Left, right, don't face-plant.." she thought, as she contemplated her previous walking tactics. |

Belladonna strolled through the hallways, marveling at the supreme architecture that was Shibusen. She still hadn't seen all of the school, and since she had a little time before the next class, she wanted to look around a bit. As she walked the hallways she heard a loud tumbling sound coming from around the corner which followed a girl's scream, "GOD DAMN IT!" Without hesitating, Bella ran towards the sounds and stopped when she saw a girl with weird metal-looking things attached to her back, surprised by the metal cords but more concerned about the girl, she stuck her hand towards her. "Hey, you need some help?"Bella said as she glanced towards the papers strewn across the stairs. |

"Hey, you need some help?" Turning to look over her shoulder, Jenna was taken aback by the outlandish dress sense of the person who had offered her hand, but decided the best way to make a good first impression is not to blaspheme in their direction. She planted her cords against the ground and took Belladonna's hand, using both to heave her full weight back up. Once standing again she looked up; this person was around the same age, but still bordered on towering over Jenna. "Thanks...", she half whispered half said, in response to the first act of charity she had probably really had directed her way. Taking a brief moment to examine Belladonna, in an odd way it was somewhat comforting to see someone else with a slightly 'different' skin complexion, so much so she had almost forgotten about her own irregularities. This pushed Jenna from the hesitant worried expression she had been carrying to a slight smile. "Guess I had a bit of a brain-fart." |

Genivere was looking up at the impossible candles sticking out of her school, a habit she found herself sliding in when she was trying to avoid her destination. Not for the first time, she was trying to figure out what happened to the wax that melted off of the candles. It didn't drip, she knew, at least not during the day when people where around. That was a safety hazard. Plus, Genivere had been watching the candles long enough to know that this didn't happen. "Where does the wax go?" she wondered out loud. Maybe the candles would hear her. Maybe they would drip wax on her for her impudence. The sound of a person running down the hall interrupted Genivere's contemplation. She looked up just in time to see someone whisk around the end of the hallway. Curious, she followed, and soon picked up the sounds of conversation. People. Genivere paused for a moment. This is why she came here. To meet people. The prospect still caused her heart to beat unpleasantly hard in her chest, the nerves enough to make her hands shake. She clenched her fists, willing it to stop, and stepped around the corner. There they were. Two girls. They weren't even looking at her. Solid proof that everyone wasn't out to watch for Genivere's every misstep. They were probably perfectly nice, and Genivere was just worrying unnecessarily. Genivere's nerves weren't buying it. Because thinking about it any longer would only cause Genivere more grief, she walked up to the two. It looked as though someone had fallen down, but Genivere couldn't tell who. She could see the papers strewn out over the floor, though. But the taller one she had definitely seen running here, so the other one must have fallen down. "Are you okay?" she asked, her voice a good octave higher due to her nerves. |

"Rats! I'm going to be so late!" Kevin Keyne dashed up the many steps to Shibusen, not even stoping long enough to admire the odd architecture of the school. "If i can just make it to class, those extra hours of Mortal Kombat last night will all be worth it!" He saw as he rounded a corner, 3 girls. two were closer together, appearing that one had fallen as the other was helping her up, and a third, standing farther away, apparently having just arrived. "I don't have time to stop!" With that, he jumped over all three, managing to clear them by dashing forward in mid air. "Yes, best ability ever! Have a good day, ladies." As he looks back to wish them a good day, he forgets where he is going, and trips down a flight of stairs, landing in a heap at the bottom. "Rats!"

Jenna's attention once again shifted, this time to a person who she could meet eye to eye with without any Y-axis head strain. Again, another friendly face? She wondered exactly how long these two had been enrolled for compared to herself. Pointing to herself with a thumb, her smile once again took it up a notch in curvature. "Ahh.. don't worry, I'm perfectly fine. If I wasn't, I'd probably have to evaluate who the hell--" Jenna was cut off by the sudden rush of air and Kevin from above. What was then observed was probably the single biggest turnaround of the bad-ass-scale she had ever seen. "Ouch." What would have been thoroughly hilarious to her was not so much having done the exact same thing earlier, though it did cross her mind whether the three of them were as distracting as a skull-themed school with giant candles. Still, she couldn't help but giggle slightly. "--who the hell I thought I was.", she finished, shaking her head to dispel the current confusion. Not having entered a single classroom, one lesson had already been taught. |

"No problem." Bella grinned as she pulled the girl up, then turned to face the person behind her, "Oh I haven't met you yet either!" Bella exclaimed as she glanced between the yellow haired girl and the girl that had an unusually high voice, "I'm-" Bella stopped when she heard a determined cry coming from the top of the stairs, "I don't have time to stop!". Bella turned to face the voice and instead of seeing a person on the stairs, she saw two feet flying towards her. She watched in awe as the body flew overtop of her, then landed with a large thump. "Yes, best ability ever! Have a good day, ladies." the boy said before he ran towards a second set of stairs and, coincidentally, tripped down them. Unable to stop, Bella burst out laughing from the sudden tumble. "The second time today!" Bella tried to say, yet it came out as another roar of laughter. |

Kevin picked himself up at the base of the stairs. "Ow! This place needs smaller stairs." With that, he focused his soul wavelength, and with one burst, jumped back up the stairs to the top, landing with ease. "Sorry to disturb you, ladies." As he turned and prepared to run to class, he stopped just a few steps later and turned back to the girls. "Um...do anyone of you know where homeroom is?" |

Belladonna slapped a hand over her mouth as she tried to calm down. Somehow, the thought of seeing two people fall down stairs, one after another, was hilarious to her. "Kefefefe~" she giggled as she bent over to get all her giggles out of her mouth at the same time. "Ahem, Sorry-hehehe- I'm not exactly sure." she told him with a grin pasted on her pale face. |
