Death City, Nevada - 6:30 Today was just another Thursday morning in Death City. It would be just another day within the area of the Nevada desert run by the Shinigami. The laughing sun was up in the sky, bringing light to the desert sky. Students of the Death Weapon and Meister Academy were either getting ready, or just sleeping in. Of course, there were those early risers who were already there and ready for the day. Outside of the skull themed castle of a school approached one. Boot clad feet approached the school, with blue jeans adorning the legs. On his torso was just a dark gray t-shirt. However, there was something strange about this lad. And no, it was not the fact that he wore a pair of fingerless gloves on his hands. It was that his face was covered up with a gas mask with blue mist streaming out of its vents. And also, he had metal plates on the sides of his jeanss and boots. This, ladies and gentleman was a new student. However, this student already had something that separated him from his peers. Unlike the others who relied on partnership and teamwork, this boy did not. Like Justin Law before him, he was among the rare breed known as Autonomous Weapons. This was Rick Fader, the Electric Chair from Boston, Massachusetts. So, this is the new school, huh, he thought to himself. As Rick closed in on what was now the school he attended, many things came racing through his head. The main question was, how would he do around here? Even though he had spent the last year of his life training for this day, naturally he'd be nervous. For one, it was the job of students like him to hunt down and kill monsters known as 'Kishin Eggs'. Aside from the fact that he'd be risking his life contributing to the elimination of these monsters, another question was about his peers. As someone who had been in public school as a target for bullies, he was naturally wary of bullies. And because of his naturally bad luck, he might run into said bullies. Despite the fact that Krav Maga did help him once he got used to it, he still factored in that his fellow students were experienced in the ways of Kishin Egg hunting. Eventually, Rick made his way into Shibusen. Now it wasn't just the thoughts of the hunting and peers that worried him. Right now, he had a new priority. He needed to find his way around these hallways. He looked over towards the cork board, hoping for a map to the school. For once, Rick was actually in luck, for there was a map posted up. Reaching into his book bag, Rick started to study the map, along with his schedule. With a pencil, he started to copy down the map, posting routes to each of his classes. However, halfway through, his pencil ended up breaking, causing him to smudge the page with graphite. "Goddammit. . .", he muttered to himself in frustration as he used an eraser to get rid of the smudging. After taking a pencil sharpener out of his book bag and sharpening the thing, he resumed studying the map, using a binder as a makeshift surface. . . . Edited by tagger, Jun 7 2010, 02:14 AM.

"Uh... here..." A small voice pipes up next to him. An already printed map is held out to him by a short girl who had approached him silently. Her blonde curly hair hangs over her slender shoulders and down her back. Her bright blue eyes don't really meet his, and a blush was already dusting her cheeks. "I uh... I see you're new here... I don't need this any more so uh... you can have it... if you want that is." Her voice is small and soft, and mostly nervous. "If you uhh... need help finding your way around... don't hesitate to ask..." 'Right, like he'd want help from a squeeky and akward girl like you...' The girl looks down at the giant book she is holding, awaiting his answer. |

"Hehehe Well then Deka, I see we have been practicing speaking" A boy teased coming from behind the short girl. He placed his hands on her shoulders roughly, already knowing the girls strength. Looming over the cute blond was an interesting character. He wore all black, with designs draw on his face , His eyes looking down at here were a pale yellow, and his own hair was a light blond, but was hard to see under his black and yellow frog hat. Kero loomed over he young female Meister, he smiled widely at the girl, who he had grown close too, and then changed his gaze to Rick, and nodded. "Hey, hows it going?" he asked smiling. |

As someone with bad luck, something was bound to happen to Rick. The breaking of his pencil was not the end of his troubles. As he was midway through copying down the map, his hand slipped and he ended up smudging the page. As he took his eraser, the worst possible thing happened. The paper that was used to copy down the map had ripped in two as he erased the graphite smudge from the page. "Fuck. . . . Fuck! FUCK! FUCK!!", he exclaimed in his frustration. Just then, a small voice piped up next to him. As Rick turned his head, he saw a blond girl beyond the lenses of his gas mask. She was offering him her old map, saying she didn't need it anymore. She seemed to be rather nervous judging from the way she spoke, and how she had that nervous blush about her. And then she offered assistance if it was needed. "Thanks", he said to her in response to the map. "And yeah, if I need help, I'll ask. . .", said the gas masked boy kindly. Just then, another boy came up from behind. Apparently this one was familiar with the girl, even knew her by the name 'Deka'. He put his hands on her shoulders roughly, but it looked like she could handle it. This boy was garbed in all black, with a frog hat on his head. The boy before him matched him in height, but also had a similar eye color. However, it wasn't apparent due to the fact that Rick's eyes couldn't be seen under the black lenses of his nebulizer mask. And then, the boy shifted his gaze towards Rick. He asked how he was doing. "Better now that she saved my ass. . . .", he said. Though he was one to curse quickly, he was sincere in the fact that he believed Deka saved him. After all, the fact that she let him use her map would save him a lot of frustration. "And uh, I'm Rick. . .", he said to them, introducing himself to the two before him. "Nice to meet you two. . .", he said to them rather casually. |

Kero's hand comes down on her shoulder hard, but she doesn't falter. He has learned about her strength and knew that Deka wasn't the fragile little girl she appeared. He smiles at her, proud of her for talking to people, but she could feel he wasn't too happy with who she chose to talk to. True, Deka too had been afraid to talk to a boy with a gas mask on, it was a bit intimidating. Deka looks from Kero to the new boy, Rick, her blush deepening. "It was no problem... I'm Deka... And uh... This is Kero... my friend and weapon..." She says softly, wrapping her arms tighter around the book she holds against her chest. "It's nice to meet you too...." |

Kero laughed lightly and let go of Deka. He walked to her side and nodded to Rick, "Good to meet you" he said and held out his hand in greeting. Rick seemed to be a good guy, though he seemed to be a bit strange, 'what was with the gas mask?' he thought 'maybe i should ask...' He resisted he would wait till later. Examing the guy he found that they seemed to be the same height, and he seemed to be easily aggravated by things. He looked to his partner, he was proud that she was coming out of her shell, and at first he was a bit off about who she chose to talk too, but he seemed to be ok. He looked back to Rick, wondering what he was, a Weapon of Meister, he couldn't tell. |

Rick was happy to see two people who seemed friendly enough. What he encountered was a Meister and Weapon team, something he knew he'd never be a part of. It wasn't that Rick had low self esteem, he had at least a sufficient amount of it. It was that his weapon form was literally impossible to wield. This was the curse of being an Autonomous Weapon of his kind, a form that could not be wielded by a Meister. But luckily, weapons like himself and Justin Law were gifted with strong enough partial transformations in order to compensate for their lack of wielder. Being an Autonomous Weapon was a gift and a curse. . . The girl had introduced herself and her friend as Deka and Kero. Deka had brought her book closer to her. Kero however, let go of Deka and walked to her side. It would seem that Deka was the shy half of the group, while Kero was the more social and confident one. He offered Rick a handshake, which Rick responded by giving him a nice, firm handshake after standing up. Rick was rather surprised that neither of them commented on his mask. Even to those who he knew before having to wear it questioned him on it. And strangers who had met him often gave him a funny look or questioned him on it. So why not either of them? Judging from Deka's behavior, it could just be her shyness that kept her from asking. As for Keru, it would seem that he either didn't care, or held back on questioning. And then, the fact that the two were a team trailed back to his mind. "A team, huh? That must be cool. . .", he commented to them. "I mean, I know I'll never be able to be a part of a team like that. . .", he said with a chuckle. Without specifying what he was, that comment sounded like a remark coming from low self esteem. However, Rick didn't catch onto that possibility yet, as he was just happy to meet two nice people. Other than the fact that he was happy to meet two people, another thing on his mind was protecting the map Deka so kindly lent him. He took a step back to slip it into the binder he used as a surface before, slipping it into a page protector. He then slipped the binder into his book bag, zipping it shut. After this, he put it onto his back, making sure the straps were secure. Under his mask, he was smiling brightly. . . . |

Deka couldn't see his expression through the mask Rick wore so she assumed the worst. "Oh... no! I'm sure you'll find a partner someday! There are a lot of unparnterd people.... You'll find someone! You seem uh... like a nice guy... don't worry!" She sputters, looking up at Rick, her eyes wide and sincere. 'I definatly know how he felt. I'm so painfully shy and people have thought of me as weird since I arrived...' "I thought I would never have a partner either... but I was able to find Kero... well Kero really found me but... don't doubt yourself on the first day!" She takes a deep breath and reaches out, touching Rick's arm gently and smiles at him assuringly. The blush that always seemed to be touching her cheeks flared as her face goes deep red. |

Kero watched the teen Weapon slip the map that Deka had given him into his back, and nodded. He looked to Deka who seemed happy and he smiled, he was glad she was talking. He looked back at Rick when he realized what he said about not knowing what a team would ever be like. ‘what…?’ He thought then Deka piped up surprised. "Oh... no! I'm sure you'll find a partner someday! There are a lot of unparnterd people.... You'll find someone! You seem uh... like a nice guy... don't worry! I thought I would never have a partner either... but I was able to find Kero... well Kero really found me but... don't doubt yourself on the first day!" He had already know about her not thinking she would ever have a partner and, and Ker smiled at her because he was happy that she had found him. He looked back to Rick nodded, placing an arm around Deka’s shoulder “ she has a point, I’m sure you could find someone” he laughed. “It just takes some time” he smiled |

Before the two responded to his statement, Rick ran it through his head again. After reviewing it and taking in the fact that they didn't know he was an Autonomous Weapon, he chuckled. Coming from that angle, it kind of sounded like something a kid without self esteem would say. But before Rick could correct himself, they responded to him. They told him that he appeared to be a pretty nice guy, and that it would take a little time. "Wow, I just realized how depressive that sounded. . . ., he said with a chuckle. "Well, its not that I don't believe in myself. . . its just that uh. . .", he began to explain. Rick took a moment to find a good way to let it come out. "Well, its just that I can't be wielded. . . .", he said to them. "I'll show you what I mean. . .", he said to them. Just then, he started to transform into a weapon form. What he turned into was rather strange. It was not a blade, a blunt instrument, a flail or anything. . . . that could be wielded. Instead, he transformed into a large, heavy wooden chair. Around the legs, the arms and the back of the chair were straps meant to restrain the victim. Around the chair were electrodes meant to take their places on the victim's body. Rick Fader was a Demon Weapon alright, an Electric Chair. After a moment, Rick shifted back to his human form. "Yeah, I don't think that form could be wielded reliably. . .", he stated to the two. What Rick had just showed them had put him in the same class of weapon as Justin Law. He was not only a weapon that couldn't be wielded, but also an execution device at that. This might just be the one to take the title Justin left behind in his betrayal. . . . |
