Yoi Yoii~ At the moment, our missions are usually rated along the vague definitions of 'easy,' 'medium,' 'hard' & 'very hard.' In practise we tend to give missions difficulty ratings (in the up-for-grabs segment) things like 'easy~medium.' This is meant to be a rough rule of thumb for two things. First, it is supposed to indicate how difficult the mission would be for an average student (eg: easy being like get Shinigami some groceries, hard being go kill a witch). Secondly, and more importantly, it should also be how difficult it is for your character. This isn't an iron rule, but sometimes I see easy missions that are great, epic thread that seem more difficult than a pitched battle, and other times I see hard/very hard missions where no-one breaks a sweat. This isn't necessarily a bad thing, and I don't think people are bad/good RPers for doing this, but it does make it seem like the difficulty is wrong. So, basically, if Imp or I see a finished mission where the character(s) had it too easy or too hard, we will scale up the difficulty level that the mission was assigned to. If this confuses anyone, read the spoiler below. Spoiler: click to toggle I'm not telling everyone to start making every thread super difficult and filled with trails and tribulations, I'm simply saying that if someone breezes through a very hard mission ... well, it wasn't very hard, was it? (and etc) If anyone has any questions, feel free to post 'em up. |
