Bartlet turned in time to see Frank walk backwards into a table, and turn to punch its occupant, who immediately slumped in their seat, out cold. Bartlet was starting to get a little overexcited, as he tended to when there was fighting. Seeing that the barkeep was also out for the count, or at least stumbling blindly around cursing and swinging his bat at people in an entirely unrelated part of the room to the main fight, Bartlet jumped over to the grog that was still intact on the far wall and started drinking as much of it as he could. Pouring bottle after battle into his face, and in the general vicinity of his mouth, the dwarf was soon completely out of it. He wanted to fight but every time he went to get up he fell back down, feeling dizzy and ill. After vomiting his insides out, and starting to feel a little better, Bartlet wandered over to a table that was without occupant and lay down on it, feeling sleep and tired. He had forgotten about the battle, and all but the fact that gravity seemed to be working extra hard for him that night, as his head felt so heavy he couldn’t lift it. With a groan he fell asleep, or possibly into a semi-comatose state, not many would be able to tell the difference, and not many of those who could would care. The bar was in general disarray, with half of the drinkers fighting, and half of the fighters drinking, and another quarter still trying to carry on conversations, and a whole lot of people coming in off the street to help out mates, or join the ruckus in general. The barkeep was unable to help and one of the serving wenches was doing what she should have done a long time ago, closing the front doors, so that if the police should pass by, they wouldn’t be able to see the fight. Unfortunately it also meant that anyone on the inside was shut in till they calmed down, and anyone on the outside was shut out. |
