Name: Franziska Vitkowskiy (Responds to Frankie, dislikes being referred to by her full name.)
Gender: :mystery: (Female, but very often mistaken as male.)

Class: Engineer.

Age: 28.

Birthdate: May 3, 1942.

Birthplace: Kadnikov, USSR.

Family: Lotte Brandt (Mother, German prostitute. Deceased.), Vladislav Vitkowskiy (Father, former soldier. Deceased.) Ivan Vitkowskiy (Cousin, Heavy Weapons guy. Alive, currently located in Gravelpit.)

Hair: Blonde.

Eyes: Blue.

Height: 5'9"

Equipment: Standard-issue Engineer's toolbox with a few small modifications, a comically-oversized wrench, goggles. She also has a submachine gun-- a custom-built PPSh-41 with "Мари́я" etched into the side in thick, neat letters.

Languages: Very broken English, decent German, fluent Russian.

Personality: As much as she loves to gossip, she doesn't speak much anymore. She tries to keep to herself most of the time but is polite and nice enough even though she tends to be lacking in conversation (she is embarrassed with her poor English). She secretly loves children's cartoons, and is (although she's slightly embarrassed by this as well) quite fond of Nu, pogodi! and Cheburashka.

Physical Description: Not entirely feminine, but not very masculine. She has a relatively thin body, however, the layers of clothing and their fit obscures anything that really identifies her gender. Her skin is rather pale naturally, and is subject to burning rather than tanning. Her hair is naturally a pale blonde. She wears a brown trench coat (decorated with gear-like designs) overtop a black dress shirt. As bottoms, a pair of baggy black cargo pants. Over one of her coat's arms is a grouping of several blue straps. She also wears black combat boots.

Background:

Frankie was born in Kadnikov to a working family. Or, rather, she would have been. Her mother died during childbirth, and her father, who served in the Red Army went MIA months before.

The USSR was not the nicest place for an orphan to grow up, but thankfully her Aunt and Uncle were successfully contacted and they brought her into their home, raising her as their own child.

It was her older brother, Ivan, who showed her engineering and machines. She and her closest family member spent a lot of time together - they were nearly inseperable, and they would always make little toys and the like. As they grew older, their interests began to revolve around weaponry. Ivan had brought home a few broken guns and fixed them. He began getting his hands on more and more, and soon became a rather avid collector. Frankie, practically worshipping the ground her cousin walked on, followed suit. She and him were up all night and all day, designing things together and testing them out - although, naturally, pretty much all of their earlier designs didn't work, and the ones that did did so poorly.

As time went on, though, Ivan gave up on the idea of designing his own weapons and simply became a collector, bringing them home and practically lining his walls with them. Frankie would occasionally take and tinker with them, and soon had designed her first gun that actually worked. She was terribly proud of it! She did all she could to improve it, and kept going. Eventually she was building things like small sentries and more advanced weaponry--things well ahead of their time.

It was a few years after that--at the age of 18--that she was chosen to begin producing weaponry for the Red Army. She was terribly excited when she got the letter - finally a way to pay her Aunt and Uncle back for their kindness! She showed up to work and it wasn't long before she was practically heading the factory - she hoarded blueprints and the like and built her own versions of each weapon, customizing them to the best of her ability. The best creation she had was a collaboration between herself and her brother -- a modified, improved and more advanced version of a PPSh-41, which she lovingly named Maria. Soon, she and Ivan had started smuggling some of the weapons out and selling them for some extra money. And while she herself was not caught, her brother was incarcerated a few years later--Frankie was 24 at the time. This utterly devistated Frankie, but, conveniently she recieved a mysterious letter in fairly poor Russian. It promised a way out for her cousin, and more money for her. Naturally, she responded. Days later she was summoned to a seemingly-abandoned building in the middle of nowhere and presented with a contract. The major setback was that the entire document was in English, but the lady giving her the pen promised her brother's release...

She signed herself and her cousin away. He was inexplicably released from the Gulags and seemed to vanish off the face of the Earth, along with Frankie. The fine print, however, reared its ugly head, and Frankie and Ivan were whisked away into the war on the side of BLU. She brought nothing with her besides some basic clothes and Maria, and he brought some of the larger and more powerful guns in his collection. They were together in Viaduct for the first year, and there she learned some rather basic English. She found her niche among the engineers, and excelled at it! They swapped blueprints, assisted in design and honestly refined her skills with machenery. Their next few months were spent in Granary, but after Granary's Administrator died and was replaced, she and her brother requested to be transferred. Unfortunately, due to balance issues, he was sent to Gravelpit, and she was sent to 2fort.

Frankie is still somewhat grim about the circumstances of her joining the war, but she has come to accept it. However, to this day, she is highly distrusting of the higher-ups, especially the Administrators and their Assistants.
