"New spirit of sacrifice"
“But America, I have never been more hopeful than I am tonight that we will get there. I promise you — we as a people will get there."
http://dksdreamworld.blogspot.com/2008/11/president-elect-barack-obama-quotes-to.html

"It can't happen without you, without a new spirit of service, a new spirit of sacrifice. So let us summon a new spirit of patriotism, of responsibility, where each of us resolves to pitch in and work harder and look after not only ourselves but each other." - Obama's Words

{Asked in an interview about being the breadwinner of the family, Michelle is shocked by the notion. "Me? No! Barack had, like, four jobs, always," she laughs. "No, really. Barack's a hustler . I shouldn't say hustler, but he's a humper in terms of work."

Ok, so President select Obama to show the America people the type of “sacrifice” he’ talking about is… ???!!!

Barack Obama To Buy Rare 30-Thousand-Dollar Ring
(London) -- Michelle Obama may have to wait until after Christmas, but the gift she's getting will be well worth it.
The London "Mail" reports the soon-to-be First Lady is getting a rare 30-thousand-dollar rhodium ring from husband Barack Obama.
The President-elect is buying the ring as a thank you for his wife's support during the recent presidential campaign.
The Harmony ring is made of rhodium, which is the world's most expensive metal, and is encrusted with diamonds.
It's being designed by Italian designer Giovanni Bosco in time for January's inauguration ceremony.
A spokesman for Bosco says their American distributor asked the company to provide details about the Harmony ring, which he described as, quote, "our top of the range piece and made from rhodium and encrusted with diamonds." According to the spokesman, Obama reportedly asked about the ring, quote, "because he wants it as a thank you gift for his wife Michelle for her support the last two years." Although the exact cost isn't known, the ring is estimated to be valued at just over 30-thousand-dollars.

Spokesman says no $30G ring for Michelle Obama

The Associated Press
December 3, 2008

WASHINGTON - Looks like Michelle Obama won't be setting aside her fake pearls in favor of a $30,000 thank-you ring from her husband.

London tabloids reported that President-elect Barack Obama was buying a pricey rhodium ring from Italian designer Giovanni Bosco for his wife. But there's no truth to the report, said Obama spokesman Dan Pfeiffer.

The rumor began overseas and made the rounds of American blogs, including the Drudge Report.

The office of Giovanni Bosco, reached in northern Italy, also said the reports were incorrect.

They don't care if this stuff is true DB...they learned from the Bush years that if you put it out there as truth the right will be outraged whether it's true or not.

What I don't understand is why the outrage if it was true? If a man makes $100,000 and buys his wife a $3000 ring......no problem, but make $1,000,000 and the $30,000 ring is excessive? Same proportion of income.

I don't care if he buys his wife a ring. You're the one that blindly get outraged on cue. Does it make you feel silly when you are so blindly manipulated, or have you gotten used to it?
