Not one single thing is Change. The Old Hill and Bill show is back in office and BO is just a suit for them as I thought.. he has NO leadership ability,, just put the same assholes that were in the cabinet before they groomed him well... Hmmm guess we now know where Hills money went during the election process... get prepared for times rougher than when Carter was in office... |

I see it differently. Now Hillary is wearing golden handcuffs. She can't undermine Obama without undermining her own credibility- that goes for Bill too. Politically, it was a brilliant move. If she can't be a team player she'll leave DC without a political future. |

Isn't it a little early in the game to call it against Obama? I certainly don't like these alleged appointments (and I say alleged because there's a million and one rumors flying around and very little that can be verified with facts), but let's -just for a moment- reflect on the state of this government. America is reaching the end of its worst 8 years in modern history. The administration of the last 8 years has been so full of lies, misinformation, secrecy, and the like, that I doubt that any ONE person, president-elect or otherwise, could possibly make the necessary changes in one term, let alone one transitionary period. Besides that, I am curious... did anyone out there *really* expect Hillary to go away quietly? I mean... how could anyone out there (including and perhaps especially Obama) have expected the Dynastic Duo to let their victory merely go to the wayside? I'm certainly not defending Obama's having kowtowed to her up to this point, but he's between a rock and a hard place with this woman. His options are extremely limited. Heh. DB, I would *love* to see that happen: Hillary undermine herself. She's been making valiant efforts at that over the last two years; I kind of doubt she'll succeed now. Then again, this electoral season has been just chock-full of surprises. If I've learned one thing, it's to NOT count chickens before they hatch. |

Once the position is accepted their futures are tied to Obamas. They and all they peeps will have to throw their weight behind his success. He's just following the first rule of politics; "keep your friends close and your enemies closer." |

I have mixed feelings about that friend/enemy idea. Especially regarding the Clintons... I guess I just fail to see how any good can come of this. It's pathetic, really, how political this is. I was hoping (yeah, I know) that Obama would play a more practical game as opposed to a political one. Another lesson learned, I guess. Geeze, Mtnman... raising taxes was an inevitablity. Is an inevitability. And it's going to happen regardless of the face the president-elect wears. It's the state of the economy, it's the state of this country that dictates raising taxes, not merely some political whim. |

I'm continually flabbergasted that so many on the right resent deeply the idea of paying their debts. They're ours guys, and we gotta pay them. The longer we delay- the higher the interest. Just raise the damned taxes already. |
