I get to visit my birth mom again next month AND meet three of my six siblings! I grew up as an only child so this is going to be SO weird! :yikes:

Any wisdom you would like to share with me?

I would love to, but I am not known for being wise. Just enjoy the experience and make the most of it.

Did you dump your step mom after you found the real one?

 You kill me manna! I was adopted when I was a week old and my adoptive mom never let me see any of the adoption paperwork. She died in Jan. (86 yrs old) and I found all the papers in her safe and started searching on the internet.

I found my birth mom in 10 days - I never knew my nationality, health history, etc. What a surprise to find it all out! Turns out that I'm Italian and all the "crap" that I have.....HBP, diabetes, etc. - my birth mom has also. I'm so excited to be able to tell my doctor that I have a medical history when I go in for my checkup.

Considering that I'm 55 yrs. old, I'm lucky that SHE is still alive - she's only 74.

My birth father was a brief affair and she could barely remember his name. But she remembers where he lived - a small town in Missouri - and she and I are going to go and look for his relatives. From my search on the internet, I believe that he died in 2000.

There is so much more to it but I won't bore you with any more details.

Daisy I think you lost him at the word AND.

This is a great story DL! I could go political...but I will not. Your mothers made the right choices for the right reasons.
