Did she make the right decision? Is she happier and better now?

Please. She called hysterical on Mothers Day. That's what having a baby meant to her, being "special". I talked her out of driving down to see the baby- she agreed to no contact for six months. She's already moved in with another guy. So no, she's not happier, she's repeating the same self-destructive crap. She's uninsured so I'm sure no birth control. We'll be doing all the drama over again I'm sure.

Well, I wasn't expecting a REALLY happy answer - but thought that she might be getting her shit together. She's definitely having a hard time whether it is brought on by herself or not. Just be happy that she's not your daughter...... then you really WOULD be wringing your hands. It's enough that she's your sister!

It's so good that you could talk to her and reason with her to not go and see the baby. Was Mother's Day the only time that she had these regrets?

It does. I wish more young women had the courage to put the babies needs ahead of their own.

I'm sorry BT. Not fun. It's hard to accept, but we can't save others from themselves.

I thought illicit drug use (alcohol and marijuana) were victim less drugs?

At least that's what wikipedia, the encyclopedia for liberals, says. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Victimless_crime
