I believe South America should get the Olympics. They have never hosted the Olympics and its time for the rich and wealthy nations to give the little nation of Brazil a chance!

If liberals politicians like Obama believe in equal opportunity he should stand up for Rio tomorrow. If liberals across America believe in diversity they need to cheer on Rio.

Either way we are going to pay for the Olympics as most of the corporate sponsors are those mean nasty multi-nationals based in America. The highest percentage of TV revenue comes from the US. Most importantly, our athletes are well funded and get some of the best training in the world thanks to big bad companies like Home Depot and Coca Cola.

Yep, I finally believe some diversity should be distributed to the Olympics and Brazil should win!

It must have been that "sacrifice" comment made by Michelle Obama about her trip and the hospitality.

Well, Well, looks like RT was right again!

Obama failed! He and his wife flew two wide body jets with a bunch of Chicago mafia style politicos to try and strong arm the world. The world flipped him a bird and sent his butt packing with Oprah back to the US.

It must suck to a three times a loser. Obama is not use to losing....I guess he couldn't eliminate the competition.

I hate to say it... I really do, and I rarely, if ever, say it BUT, ya gotta blame Bush for this one.....

It use to be when the President of the USA said "jump" most of the world asked "how high?". The glory days are over, my friends. Bushed flipped off the world and it is going to take a long, long time and lots of negotiations and kind acts to gain respect again.

what is so awful about giving it your best shot and failing? we do that ever day in real life....what would be bad is never to have tried. And I'm sure if Obama and his wife had not gone the Republicans would be having a field day with it.....his home city......and he wasn't going to go? Other heads of state were there but Obama didn't think it was necessary to go? Oh yeah, a republican can always find something to criticise.....

Hey Gringa,

Gee, I thought we couldn't blame Clinton on 9/11 because it was 8 months after he left office?

I thought Obama was the great messyah and unifyer. Face it, the world flipped Obama off! The IOC is the as corrupt as the UN and obviously the corrupt Chicago mob got outwitted by the corrupt members of the IOC.

Look, Brazil didn't deliver on their promise to build stadiums and hotels for the Pan Am games - it will be interesting to see if they can fulfill the promise to build the facilities.
