Bad diet. It is easy for these dogs to enjoy good health till 14 with the advances in nutrition and medicine. Just think, if you had bought one less video game and spent it on a visit to a vet who knows the breed? |

I'm so sorry Chloe is doing poorly. Please see your vet- my dog is on an arthritis med that greatly helps his mobility. If she's in pain that could contribute to the incontinence. |

MP likes playing with his virtual black men more than taking care of his Chloe? |

Pure bred dogs just aren't as vigorous and often have hip problems. You guys are total assholes for giving someone a hard time over the health of their pet. I wish I could say I was surprised but I learned a long time ago that compassion is not your strong point. |

MP made a joke out of it himself by posting that as his response in every thread. Get over it. MP, if you really are upset by your dog's slip into old age, I guess we were wrong to make fun of it. It is a an age old problem humans have that they outlive their pets. |

Daisy has been on meds for arthritis in her left front leg for 2 years and she's only 4.5 years! She's only 15 lbs but it has helped tremendously. We take her for a walk everyday which is also good for keeping them mobile. Please see your vet and ask if there is something they can do for her. |

I have her papers somewhere, but I remember I bought her for $1100 right before the 2000 Midget football season..So she was 6 weeks old in july of 2000..So she's only 9 years old! I could be off by one year, but I don't think so. She looks and acts like she's at the end of the road. We had her reproductive organs removed early on and I was told that that makes them gain wieght. We feed her a fraction of what we feed the Rhodesian Ridgback and the Ridgback looks like a Grey Hound and the Chocolate lab looks like a little cow. I don't know what I did wrong? |

Labs are just like that. They have a tendency to get fat- hip dysplasia makes it worse because exercise is painful. Seriously, it's time to see a vet. Lone Rock is excellent. |

Manna Pro doesn't want to spend the money on a vet. He's afraid he will not be able to afford Madden 11. |
