Wow... They haven't had any elephant stampedes in downtown New York City; or locust-plagues in Utah, or....

Damn! That George Bush is amazing! Think of all the things that haven't happened!

Thank buwsh for what. He was sitting reading to children when all the other big shots from Washington were observing the war games.. or was it a mock exercise?
Why did they leave him behind? He is so useless even to them.. Are you sure it is not Cheney or Rummy we should thank?

I am happy to see that y'all are so well prepared to single-handledly take care of any situation that may arise.

Obviously, you will not need any assistance, from federal, state, county, or local government, or from volunteers, such as the local fire departments and others, regardless of what happens.

I am totally in awe of your preparedness and abilities!

I am also thankful that I no longer need to attempt to prepare so that I might be able to help any of you in the event of a disaster.

I'm going fishing, and hope that all others who have been busting their asses attempting to prepare to help you, do the same!

Thats a lot of sentiment for a box.

Here's a real terrorist story... sort of.

Quote:

Men accused of unrelated bomb plots in Ill., Texas

In both cases, decoy devices were provided to the men by FBI agents posing as al-Qaida operatives. Both men are charged with trying to detonate a weapon of mass destruction and face up to life in prison if convicted. Finton also is charged with one count of attempting to murder federal officers or employees.

Kind of like the one they did a few years back on Fort Dix. I wonder what we would do if the FBI should ever decide to let it be a live explosive... just to make it look real.

But it looks like Alqaida did not plan that attack...

Jfecal you act like your life is the most important thing in the world and trying to save it in a "disaster" is really important. I don't, and I don't care how great and well stocked your bunker is because when the Asteroid hits and everybody is starving- people are just gonna take everything you got. Don't be such a neurotic

In fact most attacks thwarted seem to have been planned by the FBI or CIA.. all plants to find stooges.

Sometimes the bomb is real and no one knows.. but for small details... like the backpaker bombs.. somehow blow up from under the train and not from the inside where passengers are. how'd they do that>?

I dont' get jf1acai either. I have stocked up too.
But he sounds more sarcastic than untouchable.
I deal with a lot of emergency. Maybe thats why I have no patience for this silly hysteria.

I don't have any idea what kind of disasters he preparing for. Nuclear annihilation, Yellostone blows up or an Asteroid strike- who wants to live anyway? A 10 day blizzard? A bag of rice, some warm clothes, a few books and some firewood will get you through that. A forest fire? My insurance company worries about that..A flood or Hurricaine? Not likely up here..What then?

We're all 100 times more likely to get taken out in a car accident- kids especially. I'm not going to get my panties knotted up over Islamic terrorists in Conifer. Of course based on how much my kids hated WJMS the other students are always a concern.
