What DB said...... you can rant or not, it's up to you. I have missed your viewpoints and am glad you are back. I am sure things will work out for you.

The winery is right across the street from the Long Brothers Garage, and is, I think, on the Long property across from the entrance to Kings Valley. I wondered when I saw the signs go up if this was something to try to replace the lost revenue that they experienced when the Kum & Go went in... ? I would be somewhat suspicious until you know more about WHO is running it, and what experience they have...

Just a suggestion....

And I'm sorry to hear of how badly they treated you on this job.... :(

Thank you both. When you're exhausted and things are going badly, it's hard to talk on a social site. All of the writing I had been doing were on other sites where I could earn a little extra money and be entirely objective, so I wasn't really writing for personal reasons at all.

Most of the Colorado wines I've had ironically have been served at NM wine festivals - and most were lacking - as were most of the NM wines. The wines we had made which I honestly thought were good were in the $30-$50 range. Not that I mind(ed) spending that on wine but it's hard to justify when there were $10-$15 wines which were as good or better. In any case, I've considered writing the place in Conifer to see if they need some sales help. Even if it's part time, that on top of what I'm doing should mean that I'm making a decent living.

LJ, here's the link to the winery:
http://www.jsusiwinery.com/retail.htm

As some of the wines they are selling seem to be older, I suspect they have been in business for a while and are just opening to the public.

The funny thing is, just down the road from me a winery has opened and the owner is from Conifer. I wonder if it's the same guy or if he's simply affiliated out of both places. Seems like a huge coincidence. The winery near me has been partnering with other northern NM wineries - I think solely to better compete against my old winery and another huge southern winery.

I know there was/is a winery close to the Yellow Barn in Conifer. I don't know if they are the same place or if we now have two. (a singular honor).

It would be cool if you did have two wineries. They say they're selling their wines at Biggie Wine & Liquors. Someone should try them and inform us if these are any good.

I admit I never went to the winery in Evergreen. It's amazing how much I missed while I was living there. It's also amazing how much I've missed in NM now that I'm living here.
