You must be using a different postal service than I am....the post offices I deal with here and in Phoenix are efficient and the people are very helpful.....not every service can be all things to all people....DUH, that is why we have UPS and Fedex and others that specialize in specific areas.....they do not deliver mail....and they do charge a premium for their services. If you want perfect.....you won't get it from any of them....I can't imagine a private company that could deliver mail like the post office does.....just as i don't see private insurers being able to provide basic healthcare to the millions of people without any.....not cost effective for them. Only the Gov't seems willing to do it on a non-profit basis, or at a loss.

Long lines, rude people, slow service, at a cheap price.

Don't forget incompetent. The only reason a lot of these people have jobs in govt. is McDonalds only has a limited number of positions available for the person who says, "Do you want fries with that."

You are dodging the issue....so you found one post office in all of America that is efficient. Wow! I bet you are holding all of your mail to send out until you return to Arizona too! Why didn't you say the Bailey, Pine, or Conifer office was helpful and efficient? Aren't you living up here now?

Thanks for answering my question, you wouldn't trust an important document to be delivered overnight with the USPS. Why? Even if USPS charged triple over FedEX and UPS, it's still a gamble. I would rather take the odds of FedEx and UPS delivering it, than the USPS, and you would too! You and I both know that if you had to deliver, say an important payment check, for your health insurance to the health insurance company in New York, you wouldn't dare let USPS Express services deliver it. Why would let the same type of business structure control your health insurance? If you have to wait in lines just to get a book of stamps and mail a letter, imagine how long those lines will be for medical services.

Just look at the VA hospital system and see if most vets who have a choice in purchasing private health care insurance use the VA hospital. Again, like any government entity there are good pockets of service. However, the VA hospital does not have a consistent delivery or customer service across the country. In fact, many military vets move after retiring back to an area where there is good VA service delivery and avoid at all costs those VA hospitals that don't.

Let's compare vehicle fleets? When was the last time the post offices got a new fleet of vehicles? Fedex and UPS are always updating their fleets and finding better ways of saving money and costs. They can't expand when they need to - they don't have the money too. Need an example? Pine Post Office.

I find the Conifer office very efficient and helpful. Maybe it has to do with attitude. I've also had awful experiences with both UPS & FedEx. As soon as it snows neither one will venture past C-470.

Where did I say that? I said...that I use the postal service for next day delivery, you got a problem with that?......how interesting that you are telling me what i would do, when it is the opposite of what I actually do. Are you so intent on making your point that you have to lie about my posts? Pretty dishonest of you don't ya think?

The truth is that RT is so certain that he knows what we are going to say that he doesn't even bother with reading liberals posts.

With all of the liberals moving from places to places to avoid taxes, it's hard to know what location they are talking about.

But again, the liberals on 285FT, twist and turn and find a little issue within my post to avoid the real discussion.

FOr the record, I don't want RT or Mainman voted off. I have no problem with either of them except RT got in a boring rut when he returned from his "good-bye forever" 36 hour hiatus.

I know he can turn around.

How I deal with mainman - I don't open any thread he starts unless I see someone other than RT respond to it - I open NO links he provides nor watch any videos he posts. He doesn't bother me at all. :gringa:
