That shows how little you know. Al has always been passionately involved in the well being of the troops, going on numerous USO tours to Iraq, sponsering drives for helmet liners, advocating for the USO. The troops are near and dear to his heart and were long before he started into politics. |

I didn't say he wasn't passionate for the troops ...did I? I said, I can't wait to see what bill #2? It will probably be a bill about executing Libby and Rove or maybe a bill that will require every talk radio station in America to give air time to a liberal. Franken Claims “Midwest Values”; Franken PAC Funded By Super Rich Hollywood Liberal Elites. “The list of contributors to comedian Al Franken's political action committee reads like a celebrity who's who: singer Barbra Streisand, writer-director Nora Ephron, actor-writer Larry David and actor Jimmy Smits. … His leadership PAC, Midwest Values PAC, raised $500,000, according to a Research Briefing review of campaign finance reports. … Among the contributors to the PAC were actor Larry Hagman, directors Christopher Guest and Barry Levinson, and writers Harold Ramis and Aaron Sorkin. ‘Curb Your Enthusiasm’ star Larry David said he couldn't refuse Franken. I do, in fact, doubt that Franken wrote the bill....there wasn't a funny line in the bill or Bush/Rove punch line.
