In this video, Richard Maybury discusses the effects of deficit spending on the next generation. Someone will have to pay the massive bills the government has run up and that someone will be todays youth.

DL, Archer, DB, and Gringa, will appreciate this video....

How well I remember these same fears/warnings when I was in college in the 60's....adding, of course, that there would be no Social Security when I was in my 60's, there would be a 50% tax rate, no jobs, and a massive deficit. Amazing how this nation manages to handle all this, and I did get good jobs, taxes never hit 50%, the deficit was manageable and we had a surplus (till ol' GW came along) and wonder of wonders.... I get a Social Security check every month......

Yep....the sky it be a falling.

SS is on its way out. Total effective taxes are in excess of 50%, there are no jobs, and the deficit officially broke a trillion today, making Bush look like an amateur in the spending dept. :B:PB:

making Bush look like an amateur
Bush was an amateur at everything......now the professionals are trying to clean up his messes. I view Bush like I do most do-it-yourselfers......they try hard, but whatever they tackle ends up looking amateurish and needs to be redone by someone who actually has some smarts and ability. Unfortunately, When things are done wrong, doing it over to fix it usually costs twice as much as the original botched job cost.
