It's true DL. Bush, on World issues, did what was best for America. Obama, on World issues, is doing what's best to get a crowd to applaud him. |

I see what you're saying RT - he does appear to still be campaigning but it appears to me that he is campaigning to bring the US back in favor with the world. We are known as the Ugly Americans and if his "campaigning" can improve the image of the US - how can this be bad? |

It can't. Bush took us from the entire world, including Iran, supporting us after 9/11- to even our best friends holding us at an arms length. Instead of taking the opportunity to unite the world in a coalition against the terror tactics that threaten all legitimate governments- Bush took a cowboy attitude of "my way or the highway"- lumping all the Islamist nations into one category without beginning to understand the complexities uniting everyone against us instead of the terrorists. (which we created BTW) Our attempts at imperialism have destabilized the world- no wonder we are going to have to campaign hard to regain the trust and respect Bush so cavalierly tossed onto the trash heap. |

DB, seriously you need to go back to the Clinton administration and see how Clinton bombed the snot out of the Muslim countries. The Muslims were a swarming mad beehive when Bush was in office. |

We are currently seeing Rah Rah Rah,,, a pep rally to see if the admin can get the strength up to do what they are supposed too. They Know the fuked up with the bank bailout, + this fabulous stimulous bill and now they are trying to rally support for their next mission. (whatever the man behind the curtain decides) and draw attention away from what is real. What we have in office now is a Yes man, he is still in awe that he is in office, only because he was put there by the powers to be, to show the world we are changing. Really the last 16 years have been a disaster and most peeps want to sweep it under the rug and point the finger and say "He did it" The admin is desperately putting bandaids on as many things as they can but the real infection is oozing thru and will prolly fester into a full blown trauma case before anyone see's it. Like I have said time and time again, we are screwed for quite awhile, and unless we as a people stand up and make our government listen and fear Us then we will remain little bitchy asholes on little forums like this and then we have a Bad day... Blah |

Our imperialism goes back waaaay farther than that. We can trace our troubles in the middle east back to the '50s when we decided to depose a freely elected leader and reinstall a corrupt monarchy. |
