Actually I have had to switch to Potatoe Vodka, I like Monopolowa.Blue Ice, and Teton Glacier.
I do have a 50+ year old scotch for special occasions.

Dr. Nevski,
Sorry I didn't site source... I will it's at work.
I don't care what pieces of paper you wipe your a$$ with or hang on the wall.
I was brought up in the Catholic cult.
All am asking is that you think/read man!
But you have a piece of paper, well I have something that you can’t have cause your paper will NOT let you.
Common sense try it you may like it!
O isn't "PRIDE" (BRAGGING) a sin?
To TP: I don't care what you were brought up in. It's the quality of your argumentation that passes muster or not. And I assure you it doesn't pass muster.

To the rest of you: having only scanned a couple of your responses, you need to realize that it's the quality of discourse which regularly occurs at this board that accounts for why I spend so little time here. Some of you ask valid questions; the rest of you are ignorant, annoying gnats. (Note that I said "ignorant", not necessarily "stupid.") The bulk of my time online is spent at discussion boards and blogs where informed and intelligent discussion occurs, at sites where informed and intelligent commentary is published, and at my own fora, such as they may be. That's why I appear here only every now and then.

Back to TP: I may or may not respond to the above. It will largely depend on whether or not I come to the conclusion that you are at least halfway teachable. Sometimes I think you may be; most of the time I think you're not. If and when the Spirit moves me, you'll know.

To whomever it was who asked me where I got my degrees: what does that matter? If you think you can best me, give it your best shot.

Fair enough, RT. At least you're enough of a genuine conservative that I respect you.

I received my B.A. from the Billy Bob Bible College at Toadsuck, AR, and my Masters from the Podunk Theological Seminary at Tishomingo, MS.

Great education! I know the Poison Ivy League. Did you graduate with honors?

I graduated from two universities in that Poison Ivy League. You know the arch rival to Bible Bob BC....I graduated with a BS from Hard Varsity University in liberal extremist studies and a Masters from Yell University, Liberal Communication studies.

Ratzinger's is a history rife with scandal and controversy. Not unlike *most* holy persons, but this one has been rather popularly labled as a Nazi (Google the name Joseph Ratzinger and take a look at the decidedly polarized results that appear). Call me closed-minded, but I fail to see how a Nazi is holy by any standards, let alone the standards of any majority.

It's not so much that you're "closed-minded", Yhitzak. It's more like you're patently, and I would say willfully, ignorant. Anyone who "thinks" that B16 was or is a Nazi is simply not paying attention to all the pertinent evidence. And anyone who willfully persists in that kind of idiocy simply isn't worth giving the time of day.
Willfully ignorant, eh? Coming from a self-professed Orthodox Christian, I think I'm doing just fine on that count. Heh. It's not willful ignorance or persisting in idiocy to take into account the man's history, beliefs, and actions, especially when he's supposed to be God's representative on Earth. But this is why I am not a follower of organized religion: I believe in freedom of thought and of belief. Ratzinger's holiness is not for you, me, or anyone but those members of the church who rank high enough to vote to determine, and your explanation or response is extremely base. I challenge that you don't have the answer, but instead of admitting so, you'd rather just tell me that I'm not worth the time of day. This is all a matter of perspective, and you're putting your ideas forth as though they are incontrovertible truth.

I've said it before and I'll say it again:
From "A Fish Called Wanda"
Otto: Apes can't read philosophy!
Wanda: Yes, they can, Otto! They just don't understand it!
I'm betting your grasp of Orthodox Christianity isn't much better than your grasp of the facts re: Benedict.

What do you bet, boy?
