I am setting up a forum for my building so we can discuss the goings on and complaints and crap.... <what a bunch of MORONS!>.

Anyway, I figured I would just set up a zeta forum like this one - nice and easy - and damn, I read the TOS (shocking, I usually don't read all that) and I can not operate a bi-lingual board without paying for their no ad service. Well, I don't mind that - but it the principal of the whole thing. I don't want to spend a dime out of own pocket for these MORONS. I will if I have to - BUT - here's my questions....

If I go to a free web forum service - how do I know that it is one that will be around forever? How do I check it out? What do I need to look for? We have so many MORONS I need to be sure that all our posts are safe for future reference....... possibly court actions and GOd knows what else from these MORONS.

If I buy the domain (it is available) download my own software, maybe a phpbb board, I know that my forum will be safe but then I am into monthly server fees..... and damn, I don't want to spend a dime on these MORONS. My time is enough to waste.

So, can someone answer my questions? Also, probably not, but does anyone know if there is a download that you can add to a forum that will translate the posts if people need that? And again, that would probably have to be done through my own board and not a web based one - right? Is it too much to ask? I looked around a little last night to see what I could find, but maybe I was typing in the wrong search - cause I was all over the place and didn't get my answers, got frustrated and drank.

The liberal use of the word MORON isn't very liberal, is it?

Who gave you the idea that libs are all sweetie, sweet. We can be every bit as cantankerous and irritable as your standard cons. Or almost anyway.

Exactly - my building is full of successful, intelligent people who have the means to buy a 2nd - 3rd - 4th home on the beach in paradise and who have controlled their lives and those around them all their adult lives. They have never owned a condo - always single family residences and they come here thinking they will show everyone else how to do it..... LOL - so, welcome to a building with 33 owners who ALL think they know what to do..... It is all about power and they turn into MORONS who when they don't get their way - throw temper fits like 2 year olds and when that doesn't work, they will eat your young.
