Is that a picture of the conservative posters here? if so, please identify them. RT must be the one with the BIG mouth. I'm impressed you got them all smiling, perhaps they have finally seen the light and are pleased with Obama's win.....NOT Edited by archer, Jan 24 2009, 12:31 PM.

Ahhh- I wondered if you had roving cartoon mariachis. What a lovely ship. Is it a restaurant or private vessel? |

The humpbacks have been making daily appearances! Yesterday, I was on the phone and a big white "wave" or something caught my eye in the bay - I looked up to see a humpback and her baby coming straight out of the water and landing on their sides - Breaching - over and over and over! I could hear cheers from the people in bar and from the restaurant across from me, knowing that they, too, got to see this marvel of nature! They are SO big it is just hard to describe.......... impossible to convey the thrill of seeing this right from my terrace. Yes, I am truly a lucky one. Thank you, thank you, thank you and Gracias - Si Senor!!!! |

It is an exact replica of the Nina - one of Columbus' fleet. She was built as a floating museum and has traveled the world. She retired here in Vallarta as a day cruise boat. They put on a pirate show, great for kids, with cannons and stuff and at night, they do a dinner cruise of the bay - they just started crossing in front of my window on their path a few weeks ago - they set off fireworeks from the deck every night - just to the south of me - which I get to see off of my terrace. |

DB - we had talked about the skeleton "dolls" that are made here for El Dia de Los Muertos". Here are some cute photos I finally took for you through shop windows.... These are tiny, tiny - about 3 inches tall: ![]() ![]() I have some I took a few weeks ago of the larger - 18" tall ones that are amazing but they must be on another memory card - I will post them later if I think of it but here is some more of the colorful art: ![]() ![]() And here's just a fun street scene: ![]() |
