You don't have to be a pilot to fly in the RAF, but it helps.

I personally don't, but I pay for it anyway so I can play with my friends and stay in touch with them. |

Basically, this. 30 or 40 dollars seems a reasonable price for one year... Not 60. But, at least the Zune isn't like that. You pay 15 dollars a month for unlimited music, that you get to keep as long as you pay each month (And you get 10 songs that you really like to keep permanently after each month) </end fanboy-ism> |

If it were cheaper, I'd have more reason to get the console, so I could compete online with friends. It's not, so the console has less appeal to me. |

No, because all they give you is the ability to use the online features. The console's price is high to begin with, and you need an Ethernet Cord or an adapter. Not to mention DLC for most games costs MSP so they hit you again. |
