Greetings everyone, I want to take a moment to say welcome to the new home of 1FG. We will be using these boards to arrange rosters for matches, discuss gameplans, and just hang out with fellow members when we can't play Warhawk. Once you get registered you will have access to private forums where we can discuss clan matters in private. I also want to take a moment to give our new members a little intro to what 1FG is and where we came from. It initially started when I heard about a upcoming tourny where if you participated you would get a special knife to use in game. I asked my former clan ROD whether or not they would be interested but the clan leader shot the idea down. I had had Dred_Knight76 on my friend list for a while and we played together a whole lot, more so than me and most emmbers of my clan at the time. I asked him if he wanted to get a team together. He was enthusiastic about the idea so we began harassing the players on our friend list and got them signed up on GGL and we initially had about 10 or 12 members. We started the tourny on fire with a opening week of 7-0. We thought we was the kings of warhawk. We got brave and told a former member who was handling all of the tech issues that we wnated to play a good high ranked team to test ourselves. He went and scheduled WAR!, B.T., A.A., and Krypto Kingpins all on the same day. By the end of the day we wasn't really sure if we wanted to continue. It was obvious that we had nowhere near the air support that we needed. We eventually got into talks with the leader of Clan Smokeout. They was not in the tourny and decided to join with us. Along with a few members of T$ and a guy or two from GODS we had some air support to make us a competative team. We finished 8th in the ladder and made it to the second round before losing to lock n load. After the GGL ended we decided as a team to stick together, take a small break for recruiting and eventually get on GB. With 2 weeks left in the summer 08 season we joined up and began playing matches. Even with our lack of experiance we have proved to be a clan that needs to be taken seriously as Known Outlaws found out the hard way. We are at a turning point in 1FG. We have two paths that we can choose from. We can continue as we are and be a mediocre clan, making the playoffs but never being a serious contender or we can make changes and become a legitimate contender. I truely feel that we have the talent and ability to become a force on the GB leaderboards. What our weakest point is right now is lack of a team identity. For those who never played sports growing up or currently a team identity is being a cohesive force and having a unique play style that everyone fits into a role and knows what to do on any map in any mode without pre-planning. This can only be accomplished by team practices and working together to form a clan of many into a single unit. This will not come over night nor will it be easy. If you are a awesome ground pounder you need to learn to fly. If you are a great pilot you need to learn how to fight in the dirt. It is the responsibility of the pilots to teach the ground guys how to fight in the air and vice versa. We have to learn from each other and push each other to become the best that we can be. This may not sound like a lot of fun but neither is getting abse raped every GB we play. We must make a commitment to the team to work as hard as we can so that when we play a GB then we have fun. I hope you all join me in making this commitment. I hope you all join me in working to make 1FG a feared team on GB and future GGL's. In closing I want to thank each and everyone of you for giving me many mant hours of enjoyment. I also want to give a special thanks to the original 1FG members who have stuck around through thick and thin, good times and bad, and where instrumental in making this clan what it is. A family. |

You've got a thumbs up from me pal, I know I may be a little stuck in WipEout Right now, but that will pass I'm sure. Warhawk is eternal for me and I'll be there to fight. Tell me what you need me to do and I'll see to it that it's accomplished. |

Cool. To the rest of 1FG that is signing up and can't see all the sections, sit tight. The admin will be giving member privileges to the appropriate people as soon as possible. Encourage your clanmates to sign up so we can start making effective use of this tool right away. |

wow, that was quite a good explanation of the clan, although hulk is probably writhing in pain over some of the grammar lol (we made him a moderator on our forums just so he could fix spelling and grammar, it was funny) |
